That is the $64, 000 question, is it not?

You have the cast of idiots that are obsessed with anything that will take the President and would rather cut off their nose to spite their face. For anyone else with a rational thought process, what would you prefer?

This article touches on a myriad of ways a country lockdown impacts people beyond this virus.

  • Higher Suicide Rates
  • Domestic Violence
  • Derailed Education
  • Shorter Life Spans
  • Decreased public health services

Obviously beyond that is the significant loss of net worth. Would it be better to accept the loss of life as a small price to pay or do you think it's better to stay pat and give up your freedom and deal with the myriad of factors above?

IMO, not shutting stuff down is very dangerous

The answer will never be known what the cost would be if we totally ignored the situation.

Um yes it will once we are able to test everyone soon enough and end up finding out how ridiculous this whole charade was.
It will go down as the greatest folly of a nation/world ever.
I won’t be surprised if an entire global economic reset button has to be pushed.
The termoil will last for years.
This is the calm before the calm before the storm.
The left will ultimately get what they deserve.
Health professionals that made outrageous predictions will be held responsible.

You really think the lefties have any intention of going back to work any time soon?
Even if 75% of the country opens up in a month, there will be so many perras that are too scared to leave their couch.

In other words, unless 35 million people die or would have died in this country...not worth it.

If this is a war, expect casualties.

Yep, know a couple of these myself. One at my health club sprays down everything after she puts her hands on it. When she sprayed down the stability ball and spent a few minutes cleaning it, I figured it was our last session. I just shook my head at so many and couldn't believe they ever thought gyms were clean places. I've known for year they were a petri dish of bacteria. I shudder what they would think if I ever shined a black light on some of the equipment. No different that gas pump handles, atm machines, and dare I say it....money. Just stop worrying about this shit and wash your hands after you get done. Problem solved. But as you said, we have just created an army of Howie Mandells.

LOL, I know what you mean. Fortunately, my wife hasn't gone that nuts (she actually rolls her eyes over most of it).

You forgot alcoholism. Lots of drinking going on now

Also people will be less healthy, eating poorly, gaining weight, not exercising, etc

Oh, I'm sure they'll be some others that come up. Didn't mean to imply that the list was all inclusive. Clearly you're correct (I still have people that meet me at tracks and basketball courts). As the rules stand, it's not hard keeping the distance and still training people (despite those who want everyone completely locked up).

That is the $64, 000 question, is it not?

The 1 Trillion Euro $ question is:

Will the extreme shutdown measures being taken be better for all of the following:

1) The economy
2) The quality of life
3) Health
4) Death reduction

And were those measures probably the "best bet" or best course of action to take, offering the best chance of success in those 4 areas in the long term game, i.e. the long run, like 1, 2, 5, 10 years down the road?

Considering the "long term game" results is not the "shortsighted" (can't see beyond the end of his nose) approach.

[FONT=Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]Bravo! That is known as reality. The minute you are born you begin to die.

I'm of the belief that everyone has a blueprint of their life issued to them.
No 2 blueprints are the same. That blueprint lays out every moment of your
life and you have no control over it. It can't be modified in any way.

When your day comes it doesn't matter where you are or what you're doing
you die.

Some people say you have choices in life. I say no you don't.

That explains why 1 person is born in a hospital while another a grass hut.
It explains why some people become serial killers and others valued members
of society. Why some people die in a war and others don't.

It explains everything.

Call me crazy but that's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

Sweden's approach was the perhaps the closest to that. And an utter failure.

Extreme safety measures (shutdowns, masks, distancing, etc) saved millions of lives & millions of others from severe illness, "long covid", etc.

I have 35 members on this site on ignore, including most so far in this thread, out of over 100,000 Rx members. So i seldom even see what they post, because those who are on the ignore function have their posts' messages hidden (unless i choose to click "View Post" or remove them from the user ignore list).

Thankfully i have a number of guys here on ignore now, so i seldom even read or see the nonsense, lies & false accusations they post anymore. Their accusations are much more likely to be true of themselves & the truth is much more likely to be the opposite of what they accuse.

Anyone wanting to see me expose their errors can search out my older posts and threads.

Nearly as stupid as someone quoting and responding to a post of someone they claim to have on ignore. Fn tard

It's not a claim, it's a fact. Are you even clued in to how the system works? Or just another covidiot idiot. lol

Those i have on Rx user ignore have their posts hidden until if & whenever i feel like clicking a button that lets me see their post, i.e. whenever i'm in the mood to read, reply to & expose the garbage they post. Otherwise i can read threads blissfully without seeing any of their shit when i don't feel like seeing it. Get it now, or does this probably go way, way, way over your covidiot head.
