Duck, are you in contact with pinnacle about a new contest?
Bundesliga kicks- off next weekend and it would be great if we could have the same contest and info around here like last season.

See you all for german insides in a couple of days.

Chris,

I don't think there will be any contest this year. Pinnacle aren't interested in sponsoring it again and frankly I'm not interested in tracking it. (It was very time consuming last year...)

Maybe we could have a little informal "self-grading" contest without any prizes?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the start of the Bundesliga this weekend. Who do you think will win this year? Personally I can't imagine anyone else than Bayern München but the odds are pretty poor imo... What do you think about Schalke 04 for a long shot?

Actually I'm glad there won't be any contest this year. I hate contests and always have. I think it takes away from good handicapping because people tend to "shotgun" the board and just throw plays out there. I'm glad Pinnacle wasn't interested in sponsoring the contest because they cheapened the contest by having games off the board for no reason at all.

There are some very sharp people in this forum and I look forward to everyone's opinion and analysis this season. I think this is a much more effective forum without a contest.

Shotgun the board??? i must take offence,i
believe ."using weapons of mass destruction"
on the board would have been more accurate
in my case.
anyways, the contests are quite time consuming
to set-up and grade, along with mediating
any disputes,so probably not worth duck's
time to be involved.
