Welcome to the Hollywood Sportsbook, "Gettin to know Ya" NBA Contest.....
The following are the rules for the contest, and there will be NO EXCEPTIONS...
1. Each player will cap "his team" on the days when they play......The first round will consist of the first 20 games "your" team plays.......For the first round, and the FIRST ROUND ONLY, you will be allowed to miss one day, if u miss posting, or are late....I dont want someone missing the start, and being penalized, but after that, NO EXCEPTIONS.....The deadline will be 15 minutes BEFORE THE FIRST GAME OF THE DAY TIPS OFF......SO ON WEEKENDS, KEEP AN EYE OUT.....If u feel you wont be around that early, u can post early, and will recieve the lines that are posted.......To help out with people who are away, or cannot post, i will post a thread for each day of the following week, on Sunday.....that way you can get your play in ahead of time, if need be...
2. ONCE YOUR PLAY IS POSTED, IT CANNOT BE CHANGED......If u forget to put in your team total for the night, u may add a post, to put in your score, BUT NO CHANGING YOUR PICK after its posted.......(Each game you can pick the exact score your team will score, if u guess right, u get a 50.00 Bonus Play)
3. In your post, please make it simple.......State it like this please....
Atlanta will cover
or
Detroit will not cover
Just make it simple please.......you dont need to include the line
4. I will post the lines the night before....If there is no line for a game, due to an injury, or such, then your game will be a no play for the day.....If something happens during the day, to change the line, the original line will still be used, and any play entered will count (thats just the breaks)
The first round will consist of 20 games, and the top 8 in each conference will make the playoffs.....each of the next rounds will be head to head (based on seeding) and best out of 10....Until the finals, which will be best out of 15....
If you post is 1 MINUTE LATE, IT WILL NOT COUNT...(we have to draw the line somewhere)
