Argentina? No way. If the USA by some freak chance doesn't win, it will be either Spain or Greece.

Does anyone think that a mostly American playoff-caliber NBA team and its coaching staff would be better off representing our country than a bunch of shoot-first All Stars thrown together coached by a college coach? I could definately see a consistenly-coached team used to playing together like the Celtics, Pistons, or Hornets would have better chemistry and a better overall chance of winning the Olympics for Team USA.

yes, i think the celtics would probably beat any international team. i think the top 5 teams would easily as well. lot said for chemistry.

also alot said for talent, which this USA has team has. talent we know they have, chemistry is why they've been playing in vegas in the past 3 offseasons.

Uno, what did you do in Niger? I believe the USA team is a bit overrated. Unless they bring the NBA refs with them I would not lay the big price for them to win gold.

How do these guys get Visas to leave the country. I guess probation officers don't watch basketball. LOL

I'll take my chances with this roster in any tournament:

1. Jason Kidd (<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City><st1:place>Dallas</st1:place></st1:City> Mavericks) <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
2. Carmelo Anthony (<st1:City><st1:place>Denver</st1:place></st1:City> Nuggets) <o:p></o:p>
3. Carlos Boozer (<st1:State><st1:place>Utah</st1:place></st1:State> Jazz) <o:p></o:p>
4. Chris Bosh (<st1:City><st1:place>Toronto</st1:place></st1:City> Raptors) <o:p></o:p>
5. <st1:City><st1:place>Kobe</st1:place></st1:City> Bryant (<st1:City><st1:place>Los Angeles</st1:place></st1:City> Lakers) <o:p></o:p>
6. Dwight Howard (<st1:City><st1:place>Orlando</st1:place></st1:City> Magic) <o:p></o:p>
7. LeBron James (<st1:City><st1:place>Cleveland</st1:place></st1:City> Cavaliers) <o:p></o:p>

My goodness, they Bronze may be a stretch.

Nice shooting...another US team sans shooters...

Does it eem like over the course of a few games Carmelo does more harm than good?
