Ok, Hexagonal starts...Lets go CR!!!!!

El Salvador - Trinidad y Tobago

Both teams suck in my opinion but i think El Salvador is the worst team of the hexagonal...hate them.

Trinidad y Tobago Pk +120 1 unit

USA - Mexico

USA owns Mexico at home, i think USA is the best team in the Concacaf...Mexico...they are not longer the greatest one...Chao Erickson...!

USA -117 2 units

Costa Rica - Honduras

Offensive games always between these two...love the over here...hopefully it will come with a CR win at Saprissa Stadium...El infierno tico...!!

Costa Rica - Honduras Over 2.5 -115 3 units

GL TO ALL!!!

I agree on the Costa Rica game going over and I will probably bet on them as well. I'm leaning on El Salvador and Mexico for the other games though. Probably won't play Mexico, is a bit too risky for me with the USA at home, as they are indeed much better prepared for Mexico than any European team for instance. Trinidad & Tobago have had their time with the last World Cup in my opinion. I don't see them coming close to qualifying this time, which is also due to losing against a team like El Salvador.

3 injured key players for Costa Rica

Gilberto Martinez (Brescia, Italy) - out
Brian Ruiz (Gent, Belgium) - out
Ricardo Gonzalez (starter goalie) - questionable

I do hope we win, but I wouldn't pull the trigger so fast.

As much as it hurts to say this (I'm Mexican) I think USA pulls a 1-0 victory tomorrow.

Mexico has only scored three goals on USA soil in the past TEN YEARS!

Not to mention both of Mexico's wings Arce and Guardado are out for the game.

heading out for a ride to Columbus in a few hours...personally took USA +100 but would suggest anyone interested in betting closely monitor the weather.

... HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 5 AM EST THURSDAY...

LOW PRESSURE WILL STRENGTHEN AS IT MOVES INTO THE LOWER GREAT LAKES TODAY AND TONIGHT. AS THE LOW TRACKS NORTH OF THE REGION... A COLD FRONT WILL QUICKLY SWEEP THROUGH THE OHIO VALLEY THIS AFTERNOON. THIS FRONT MAY BE ACCOMPANIED BY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS... WITH THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS. BEHIND THE FRONT... A VERY STRONG PRESSURE GRADIENT WILL RESULT IN WIND GUSTS OF 45 TO 55 MPH TONIGHT... WITH GUSTS AS HIGH AS 60 MPH POSSIBLE.

if anyone is interested here is my writeup for the match...prices have moved into the -115 range which is still fine. if anyone wants to email me at 6pm i can give you a very accurate weather update as I'll be at the stadium ctames2 at hotmail dot com then you can post it to this thread. up to you...will have my crackberry on me

USA v Mexico
- bookies still looking at Mexico on same level, or higher, than USA when the truth is the gap is widening every day. To say the USA dominates Mexico would be an understatement and really Mexico's only prayer to win is to play in the horrible smog and altitude of Mexico city, which is why they will never choose Guadalajara or Monterrey as a site for a qualifier vs USA. The USA have not lost to Mexico at home since 1999 and are 9-1-2 against Mexico this decade, with the only two losses being 1-goal defeats in Azteca. At home the USA is 8-1-0 15/1 in the past 10 years and they are putting out better talent than Mexico tomorrow night. USA have only one injury worry, Steve Chernundolo, but his replacement is a veteran, Frankie Heyduk, and this match will be held in Heyduk's home stadium in Columbus, OH. The Mexicans have some squad issues for sure...top playmaker, Gauardado is injured along with Magallon while Arce, Vela, and Torrado are suspended after their last match with Honduras. Aside from Marquez, the europeans brought into the Mexican selection get nearly no playing time at their clubs...Dos Santos (Tottenham), Castillo (Shaktar), Franco (villareal), Bravo (la Coruna) so cannot be really match fit. Also, Pavel Pardo hurt his foot against Morelia and will be a gametime decision.

In the past a match in February would have been a huge advantage for Mexico but not anymore as almost all US players selected play abroad. Temperatures will be unseasonably warm though rain is in the forecast. The US Soccer Federation did a great job (well, I think so anyway) in keeping tickets in the hands of American fans plus selecting a very small venue (seats 22,500) so that they have a possibility of actually having the majority of the crowd.

USA 3u +105

Projected U.S. Lineup

-------------------- Howard ------------------

Hedjuk -- Onyewu-- Bocanegra -- Pearce

---------- Kljestan ---------- Bradley -------

Dempsey ------- Donovan -------- Beasley

------------------- Ching ---------------------

Projected Mexico Lineup

---------------- Sanchez -------------------

Osorio -- Galindo -- Marquez -- Salcido

---- Naelson -- Pardo -- Perez -- Augosto ----

----------- Vuoso -- Castillo -------------

Ricardo Gonzalez (2nd goalie for me, CLUB SPORT HEREDIANO, EL GLORIOSO)

Keylor Navas (starter goalie for me) - out

That means that Pemberton or Wardy will be starting, and i think that will benefit Honduras and the over....im not too confident right now about CR side, thats why i bet the over...

ESPN has slightly different lineups for today.

Mexico

Osvaldo Sanchez

Ricardo Osorio, Rafael Márquez, Aarón Galindo and Carlos Salcido

Pavel Pardo, Leandro Augusto, Alberto Venado Medina and Giovani dos Santos

Nery Castillo and Carlos Ochoa.

USA

Tim Howard

Oguchi Onyewu, Hearth Pearce, Frankie Hejduk and Carlos Bocanegra

Michael Bradley, Clint Dempsey, Ricardo Clark and DaMarcus Beasley

Brian Ching and Landon Donovan.

Last minute decision if Sacha Kljestan wil be a starter or not.

yeah, what I meant is that since Keylor got injured, Ricardo was supposed to be the starter for this game. Keylor is the best goalie in the country right now.

I'd rather have Wardy than Pemberton. Pemberton really screwed up in the final game against Saprissa, he was too nervous and made mistakes. I don't think he's ready yet.

rolltide, nice write-up and I agree with you that USA can win this game. However my bookies have favoured the US from the start, unfortunately. To me the game is still too close, so I'm not on it myself.

im honestly surprised the us wasnt a bigger favorite. they own mexico however it is a nice day in columbus albeit windy but not the frigid condiitions the us had hoped for. mexico really struggled last round of qualifying. im looking as these games right now, still havent decided which way im going to go, but i am excited for the start of the real qualifying in concacaf finally!

rolltide i was supposed to make the short trek to columbus as well but it fell through, hope you have a good time at the game!
