Mr Smith, did Spybot tell you had to reboot to fix the rest of the problems>? IF SO you must click CHECK FOR PROBLEMS AGAIN, THEN CLICK FIX SELECTED PROBLEMS AFTER IT GETS the "Virus"

IN OTHER WORDS, RUN THE PROGRAMS AGAIN, LOL

Understand your pissed, but your almost all fixed, trust me.

about 20 things were there for removel. I unclicked the 7 or so cydoor ones ( thats part of Kazaa) and told it to remove the rest. Green check marks popped up next to all the stuff I wanted to remove , which seems to indicate success- but nothing happened. I still have the same problem.

LOL.....I should have known.

At this point, my guess would be that you got a virus via kazaa.

Go to trend.com & run the free personal scanner.

If you have only today's date listed in System Restore, you won't be able to roll back your configuration.

try these uninstallers from their home page.

How do I uninstall the i-lookup toolbar and change the start page?

1. To uninstall the old I-Lookup Toolbar please right click on the following link and hit save as to save the file onto your computer http://www.i-lookup.com/uninstall.exe. Then open the file from where you saved it to uninstall the software.

If you have installed the latest version, please right click on the following link and hit save as to save the file onto your computer http://www.i-lookup.com/uninstall2.exe. Then open the file from where you saved it to uninstall the software.

There is a simple resolution to this problem, GET RID OF KAZAA!

If you MUST have a file sharing utility I believe Kazaa lite is much more user friendly as far as spyware goes.

If you get rid of Kazza and run Spybot again, your problems should be gone!

If your not willing to part with Kazza I'm afraid your shit out of luck and gonna have to deal with the spyware.

fathead,

I think that worked, I daresay.

it seems to be over now.

thanks, really, to all who helped

sidenote-can anyone explain this? I just went into "system restore" and clicked on "system restore settings" and unlike last time norton anti-virus did not pop up and stop me in my tracks. what caused that?

It would seem that the i-look thing installed a virus that blocked "system restore" and once I uninstalled I-lookup the virus died with it.

those fukks at i-lookup are lower than frog shit. I gotta work tomarrow and I just spent 2.5 hours on this and its 2 flippin AM now.

I have no idea how that i-look thing got on my computer-maybe hidden in a video I downloaded from Kazaa tonight.

I have Kazaa lite already, but for reasons I can't think of , I never erased Kazaa, so I have them both.

Is it safe to delete Kazaa withjout losing all my stuff( I know the answer must be yes) and with Kazaa lite would a virus such as this on a video be somehow stopped from infecting me?

thanks appreciate all help tonight

The worm also appears to deposit its payload into folders open to users of the Kazaa file-sharing network. Remote users who download those files and run them could be infected.

Um....yeah, you're catching on.

Get rid of Kazaa, or better yet, NEVER install it-and that is advice for EVERYONE.

Glad it worked.

Did not see any porn in your post. Must have been another gift to you from your friends at i-lookup.

yeah the words date and porn in the first few messages were highlighted and turned into links to websites the good people a i-lookup thought I might like to visit.

the word porn took me to a gangbang website and then when I typed gangbang that also came up as a link. I passed clicking on that.

is it still illegal to mail pipe bombs? I'd like to show the people at i-lookup my appreciation for their product
