As men, we don’t always like to admit it, but the unfortunate reality of the world is sometimes size does matter —— and boy oh boy does Sacramento bring the size, and frankly, I see it mattering a whole heck of a lot in this matchup with Denver. Callum Mcrae is a 7-foot big man who should find a load of success down low in this matchup, as Denver just doesn’t have the size to contend with him. Moreover, the big man in the middle should make it very hard for this Denver team to score —- as they just have no outside shooting to speak of. On the year they are just 4 of 20, and just don’t have any real gunners on their team to create space for the slashers.
But beyond that this Sacramento St. team is one I’ll be buying on a lot till the market begins to respect them —- they mined the portal and outside of the high-major schools, frankly may have done as good a job as anyone in the country and finding talent. Every member of the six-man class has held a significant role on a winning team, and that kind of culture-changing mantra will have them winning games bookies think they’ll lose.
