clover - just checked the ESPN sched, and the first game is Tulsa @ ULM at 7pm Eastern on ESPN2 - the game I really wanted to see. Hopin' ULM gets a ton of points and I can start the year on the + side.

Badwater (Paul) put that line at 7. It looks about right to me. (Dammit) I'd lean to the points if so, reluctantly. The game reminds me a little of the opener last year, Utah vs. UCLA. Utah came out slow and got their asses whupped. I picked that one right. Hmmmmm. Maybe the Beavers have something a bit better than I am thinking in this situation. The difference is that Or.St. is a notoriously slow starting team and UCLA is just the opposite. Maybe I'm right about the points.

Thursday night TV games on ESPN:

Tulsa vs La-Monroe 7pm eastern ESPN2
Murry St. vs Louisville 7:30 eastern ESPN U
LSU vs Miss St. 8:00 eastern ESPN

Watch the line with LSU...should be big. Miss St might be the play.
They are improved and LSU is loaded and will have bigtime public
support. It's early but leaning toward State. Hell, it's only three
months away......God I love college football.

OSU always comes out with a bang in the OOC schedule, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if they took the Utes to the woodshed.

A "bang?" Well maybe, but which end of the barrel are they looking at? At least they don't play Boise on smurf turf.

IMO this sport (CFB) has more guys who are fanatics than any other. Hey to Coach LT, Pags, Sooner, WC, Ducks, Conan, yours truly, and many others. I like all sports, but CFB is #1, NFL a distant 2, everything else is just biding time till the leaves start to fall ea. yr. Been in love w/it since I used to listen to Harry Wismer on the radio ea. Sat., hearing all of the games played that yr by the "Black Knights of the Hudson". It was Doc & Glen`s Sr, yr 1946 and that fuc*ing Lujack prevented an undefeated, untied season. AH the memories. May be my last one but I`m going to enjoy the hell out of it. Fade the GG!! Love this site and all the pals I`ve met. You too VV.

Coach & GoS - when I was working I always got a kick out of retirees telling me they were "going on vacation". Always wondered how they could tell the difference, except for being out-of-town. Is it 30Aug yet?
