van gundy actually said that most players would fail a polygragh about playing hard every night.

said he understood mcgrady and also that most people go to work some days and dont give there all..

most people dont work 82 days a year and make $ 150,000 every time they clock in you dumbsh-t...

he gave it his all when he was on the court. he just didn't like being on a losing team. He averaged 28 pts a game. I hate my job, but work hard and am productive while i'm there. Just because he doesn't have Gene Wojohoiwski's enthusiasm doesn't mean he's an underachiever

the guy said he didnt give his all.

he also could have played the last dozen or so games last year and chose not to. the medical staff cleared him to play.

i actually like the kid and think he has loads of talent , but i cant give him a pass this time, nor can i give his idiot coach one.

iamgine if you were making 11 mil a year and had 18,000 people watching every night you went to work.

michael jordan said he wanted to look and play his best at all times because they're might be a kid in the stands that is seeing him for the first time.

I guess your right. I thought he said it was taken out of context.

McGrady has put this Houston team on his back the 2nd quarter of the season after deciding he wasn't going to wait on his teammates to show up any longer. Also, think about this.........Just before the Chicago Bulls hit those dominant years, there were games now and then in which Jordan would basically tire of carrying the team, and you would see him pass the ball RIGHT BACK after it was given to him in many situations, and would simply stand back and watch saying "You guys are going to have to win this one". By using that example, it should not always be considered "not giving 100%".......
