His personal life is none of our business........

It sure as hell was when he was not busy being president atleast 1 day a week

Just read the article. So you're talking about the one day per week he was in marriage counseling.

I thought you were talking about the one day per week he was getting hummers from Monica!

One of your coolest ever Presidents.
An International superstar.
It was nice to have a proper human being in the White House for a while.

We were all so much safer and happier and prosperous in those days.

sigh

Absence of war does not equal peace. Eek also is forgetting Somalia, Rwanda, Kosovo, Bosnia, and a host of other wars that were far more deady than anything the US has done since Vietnam. I guess if the newspapers don't write about it, it didn't happen.

There's always next year, like in 75, 90-93, 99 &

While you neocons are all orgied-up, excluding my free-thinking friend Mr. Eek, I'd like to pose a question that I've been meaning to ask for some time.

Has there always been a high correlation between blind partisan worship and overwhelming stupidity? Or is this merely a new a neocon phenomenon?

Thanks.

It wasn't just the President that got this 'adulation'.
It was the USA too, because in international circles the competency of the Presidency is closely linked to foreign policy and overseas perception of American competency.

The only thing I can think of that produced that "uh-oh, fuk-up" factor was that pharmaceutical factory that got bombed in Sudan.

The BJ was not a big deal overseas because a smart President has the potential to make a huge difference to civilised society during his tenure.

You have another potentially 'smart President' in the general vicinity of the White House right now.

His name is Colin Powell

Certain Americans have that overseas 'wow' factor, you'd love to shake their hand and say 'hiya'.

Muhammed Ali
Bill Clinton

And Powell is definitely a candidate.
