<!--endclickprintexclude-->(CNN) -- In a new poll comparing President Bush's job performance with that of his predecessor, a strong majority of respondents said President Clinton outperformed Bush on a host of issues.
The poll of 1,021 adult Americans was conducted May 5-7 by Opinion Research Corp. for CNN. It had a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
Respondents favored Clinton by greater than 2-to-1 margins when asked who did a better job at handling the economy (63 percent Clinton, 26 percent Bush) and solving the problems of ordinary Americans (62 percent Clinton, 25 percent Bush). (Watch whether Americans are getting nostalgic for the Clinton era -- 1:57)
On foreign affairs, the margin was 56 percent to 32 percent in Clinton's favor; on taxes, it was 51 percent to 35 percent for Clinton; and on handling natural disasters, it was 51 percent to 30 percent, also favoring Clinton.
Moreover, 59 percent said Bush has done more to divide the country, while only 27 percent said Clinton had.
When asked which man was more honest as president, poll respondents were more evenly divided, with the numbers -- 46 percent Clinton to 41 percent Bush -- falling within the poll's margin of error. The same was true for a question on handling national security: 46 percent said Clinton performed better; 42 percent picked Bush.
Clinton was impeached in 1998 over testimony he gave in a deposition about an extramarital sexual relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinksy. He was later aquitted by the Senate.

HOW MANY FOLKS ON THIS BOARD WOULD VOTE FOR CLINTON RIGHT NOW VS BUSH????

99.9% (and you can guess who the .1% L________ns are who would vote for Bush)

Clinton had his weaknesses, but was a very effective president.

LMAO another stupid comment from the bike rider. Judge not sure what makes you so special that you get a pass on stupid comments. Yeah he was so effective in combating terrorist wasn't he. Even though they attecked us over and over yet he was to busy LIEING about a BJ. Maybe you were in a drunken stupor when the terrorist attacked us. Or maybe it doesn't fit your agenda to say Clinton fucked up too. Either way that was a stupid comment.

RS, I ain't special. Never said I was. What, you think you have a monopoly on saying stupid shit? We all are entitled to our moments, although you seem to have more than your share. Let's look at how Yugo was handled as opposed to Iraq. You want to try to tell me that the US as a country is better off today then it was under Clinton. I know your hate for the man, blinds you to any good he did. So be it. But to call what I say stupid? Oh, I forgot, you have the only educated opinion on the forum. My bad.

LOL I voted for Clinton the 2nd time, so how ya like that. I just thought it too be funny that maybe just maybe if Clinton was paying attention to protecting our country maybe we wouldn't have had a 9/11 and the whole way the country is now would be different. You don't really know the effects of the pres untill a few years later. Maybe in 2012 we will be saying that Bush was right to go after the people that want to kill us. Atleast give me the fact that there are evil terrorist that want to kill us.

And maybe it would be better if Bush paid attention to the problems back at home instead of getting us involved in something, that MAY not have been needed. At the very least he could have listen to the people in the know, so maybe we could have been prepared. Now we are on the verge of a 3 front war, with no end in site. All a matter of opinion I guess. Please noticed in this post I have not called you stupid or a drunk.

Yes there are people that want to do harm to the US. However pre war Iraq was not the hub of this activity.

This is true Iraq has turned into a shit storm. I have a bad feeling about that. I also know that if Clinton was on the ball we would be 10-12 years into fighting the fucking arabs. Hell maybe it would be over by now. But he only had the interst of himself and not the security of this country. I don't want to hear that we made the terrorist and we armed them blah blah blah crap. That is nonsense everyone knows that.

I do apoligize for the Drunken stupor comment. Sometimes I get a little upset with what is said on this forum.

P.S. What I say to Doc should have no effect to anybody else everyone knows that he is the biggest loser on this site. LOL notice how he has it saved to just pull it out anytime he thinks I might be getting him. Too funny what a loser.n

RS, apology excepted. If I post something here, it is strictly my opinion. Why would that piss you off? I have never purported to have all the answers. It is intolerance to other's opinions that is fucking up our country as well as this forum. Most of the time, I will not agree with you. But I respect your commitment to your opinions and your right to have them. I forum where everyone agreed with each other would be quite boring. But do not let your passion, lower the quality of your posts, by insulting those who have a different perspective. All is good on this end.

I'm not even going to get into the messy rape scandals, they are mere nuisances compared to the mess Slick Willie left for the next guy to deal with. Clinton's legacy is quite simply, "if we can kill'em tomorrow..." The tomorrow that never came.
