I doubt anyone has an "accurate" assessment at this point, but i've "only" heard 500 Iraq casualties on all reports I've seen (Clarin, CNN, CBC).

Sounds like one of those enemy dead estimates from Viet Nam. I was 9 years old at the height of Viet Nam War and I could figure out that that was bull shit. Simple math said if they were true there wouldn't be anybody left in Indochina if we were knocking them off at the rate of Pentagon 'estimates'.
We just dont know how many of the R.Guard around Bagdad have been killed in the last 36 hrs. 'Special Ops' are in and around Bagdad sending coordinates for the B52 smart bombs. Most of the bombing in the last 36hrs have been on top of the R.Guard.

Alot of leftest are hoping for a high US body count in hopes of ending the war. I'm glad your not. The war ends when the US claims victory and not until then.

I think some people consider Bush a greater evil than Saddam & probably hope for the war to go very badly (long war, many deaths, much suffering) so that Bush loses any practical chance of a re-election.
Those are the extremists, every side had them - and they're nothing to be proud of.
