Dizz is on Florida -9.5, that's enough for me. GLTA.

AMEN Brother. No matter how you break it down, this is the straw that breaks the camel's back for me. I've gone against him too many times and have been burned. I've made me promise myself something, and that's that I'm on his side or no side throughout the rest of the college football year. I thought I liked 'Bama too, but not now, 'cause of this. GL.

major may i ask....... who do ya like in this one.....??

There are a lot of reasons that I went into on another thread. I think this is the one.

http://www.therxforum.com/showthread.php?t=639419

Mostly, I think UF's defense is better than Bama's. UF's stats are equal or better in just about every category and the Gators have played backups for most of the second half for over half the season.

On offense, UF has destroyed teams the same teams that Bama beat like UK, LSU, UT, etc. Even against Ole Miss UF scored 30pts and played their worst game of the year.

I've spent the last 4 days watching Alabama games I DVR'd and I'm just not blown away by them. They are a solid team that doesn't make a lot of mistakes and does a lot of things well, but I just do not believe that their defense is all it's cracked up to be and that is what this game will come down to. The crack on UF is that they are not physical and that may have been true under the Spurrier era, but one thing Meyer has built into his teams is toughness. This is Meyer's first TRUE team. (05 was a transition year, 06 honestly the Gators got lucky (like LSU last year) but their front 7 and safeties were terrific, 07 the defense was filled with inexperience. Now, he has all of his players, he has leadership, and he has experience.)

is that anytime two big time program teams get together a two score line is a bit much. I am die hard Tide fan, however I understand we could lose to this Florida team. They stretch the field very well and our db's just started turning around. Hell, maybe we will peak against them. I give credit where it is do. I do agree with Box though, Florida only covers in this game if it is very late. I hope to God Bama wins a slugfest here though. Expect a much lower score. They will not run it up against our D.

i wouldn't be so sure. Uf can move the ball on anybody.

I put it this way, do you think Tennesse, Vanderbilt have pretty good defenses???

They were both crushed by more than 20. UF indeed for this one

Parker-Wilson? The same guy with a 9/5 td/int ratio compared to Tebow with 25 td's and only 2 int's?

JPW will be sitting on the couch Sunday afternoons while Tebow will probably win another Heisman, Tebow will at least be sitting in the room if he doesn't win it, and spend the weeks wondering how to spend the huge signing bonus he'll get for being drafted a first-round NFL pick. Only thing left for Tebow is getting a contract like that Ryan from Boston College.

JPW's future is going to be fading into obscurity working some desk job for the rest of his life trying to pay off his student loans.

Honestly, no - I dont think either have a good defense. But UT has a decent DL and a good safety. MSU is a similar team to UT defensively. They both gave Bama fits.

Bama has won several game because they got timely points from defensive scores. Kentucky, LSU, MSU for example. Against LSU it saved them. MSU was giving Alabama all they wanted until a punt return from Arenas and an INT to the 1 for an easy score.

UF has also been the beneficiary of scores off turnovers ande special teams, but they haven't needed them to win games. Even in the game they gave up 3 turnovers they were still a PAT from going to OT.
