agree ... thought he was better than that... but this fight CLEARLY proved me wrong :)

Even thought he looked less than formidable, I still think he won prety easily. Algieri had some nice shots early but he didnt win more than 4 rds max.

I'd rather see Khan fight the winner of Porter/Broner but I still think he has a good chance to get the Floyd fight. There really isn't anyone else for Floyd to fight unless he wants to go up in weight and that's a tough sell at his age.

sad that there's nobody really good in that weight class... use to be a very interesting group

same goes for Heavy weights

as for the kid last night ... I still saw that he was in khan's face in the late rounds. guy really never stopped.
and the shot that stung Khan still bothers me..

anyway... I will be looking for Algieri's Next fight. I think he has a Good future a head of him.

Porter vs Broner June 20th is on NBC. That should be a good fight even though both have had losses recently.

go watch the algieri provodnikov fight from last yr. that was a war.

again as to this fight, algirir did nothing other than a few big shots that i thought hurt khan and stay in his face the whole time. khan landed more crisp accurate shots and flashing combos. 116-112 was abt right imo. those other judges were "clearly" pulling for the hometown fighter.

Stated long ago that I've never been impressed with Khan. Khan might of won the fight, but the kid had a better chance to finish it, and he should have, clearly...

Khan looked good enough against Alexander that I thought a Khan-Floyd fight might be interesting, not anymore.
Algieri looked bigger & stronger than Khan and wasn't afraid to bang with him. Khan probably did deserve the
decision but it was very close, 115-113 was about right. Khan blew a chance vs Floyd last night!
