Now that the Avalanche are Stanley Cup champions, their NHL odds are likely to be inflated for a while. FiveThirtyEight like Colorado to win Wednesday’s game 76% of the time, which is impressive, but only the equivalent of –317 on the moneyline.
This might be your last and best chance to “buy low” on the Blackhawks. They’ve been a mess for five years now, and they’re definitely in tank mode for this season, but again, casual bettors are probably going to overreact and hand tons of betting value to Chicago supporters.
