Being a SD fan you basically don't understand the Field in Pitt. I worked on building it and the surface is the worst. Unless you play on it ever week, you will have trouble running as is gets slippery as hell. This game will be played in temperatures in the teens, something the first game between these 2 didn't not have, which was in the high 30's. It will also be getting dark in Pitt when this game starts at 4:15, and the field being located on the river, will feel like single digits. I just moved from Ca. and 30 there at night is nothing compared to single digits with the wind sweeping through the field. It really matters when they played 8 years ago, head to head past 2 years don'e mean shit. Stop acting like 30 degrees is going to matter, that is not that cold, players will be warm within minutes of running up and down the field, wind, rain and snow are the only wetaher factors, not 30 degrees. If the temp is not near 0, then it will not factor. it is in the mid 40's in san diego at nights, and trust me, if you run for one minute you will be warm.
This surface will be like running on glass and the Steelers are counting on that condition to help their #1 defense even more.
The line is 6 because Gates and LT won't be a factor in this one. You can cut on this suface with a bad leg, just ask Willie Parker, who struggled on it when he was hurt.
With a week to rest, Big Ben and Co will be ready, and the weather conditions, which SD isn't built for will hurt them in the end.
If you can't play Power Football, you can't win in these conditions.
Pitt wins by 10-17 points this week, just watch and see.
