If i were to open up a new poker site, I would change this rule....how many of you would be in agreement and how popular would it be and most importantly, would you play at my site?
My idea is that if a player wins at the river in hold 'em (that is on the 5th and last community card) then he/she will only win something like 50-75% of the pot instead of 100% of the pot.
Bad beats: When a player hits a miracle card on the river. Like you have AK and your opponent has AQ and flop is like A45 turn is J and river is Q. Thats a bad beat! My decision is 4 outs or less (player ahead must be at least 92% to win on turn and gets beaten on river in lets say at least 5 big bet pot or more). outs are cards left in the deck. So in this example the guy holding AQ only had 3 cards in the deck to win, 3 outs, 3 queens.
The truth is ALL players hate these suck outs...especially when a good skilled player is betting all the way only to lose to some really pathetic player chasing some crap and sucking out and winning the whole pot (even though teh good player played correctly and bad player incorrectly).
any thoughts?
