its the championship game for me and sort of a grudge match against the guy that won the league last year. who do i start considering the fact that teams might be resting players?? ill mark the players i think i should start with an (x). here is my roster:

QB
brett favre (x)
john kitna

WR
Andre Johnson(x)
Steve Smith(x)
Reggie Wayne
Torry Holt
Deion Branch(x)

RB
LT(x)
Adrian Peterson Minnesota(x)
Brandon Jacobs
Selvin Young

TE
Antonio Gates(x)

K
Rob Bironas

DEF
Jacksonville(x)
Seattle

i'm considering benching wayne because the colts have nothing to play for anymore and are probably looking to just rest the players. and i'm benching holt because the rams probably want to just get the season over with without anymore injuries. what do u guys think??

I would start Holt over S Smith. Rams are a live dog tonight. Why would you say the Rams want to get the season over with, but start a Panther relying on the 4th-string qb for numbers? Smith has been brutal (no fault of his own).

yea you are right...thanks for the opinion.

i also forgot to mention that we start 1 QB 2 RB and 3 WR in a PPR league.

Wouldn't think about benching Wayne no matter who else I had. Good matchup in a good weather game. As said in other threads, they are planning to play the starters the whole game. They aren't the fine tuned offense they've been other years and they need some extra playing time.

Wayne hasn't put up very good numbers vs Houston in the past.

I think you have to go Reggie Wayne over Deion Branch. Dungy says he won't rest starters.

Also, I know it sounds crazy, but I'd bench Peterson for Brandon Jacobs. Teams are keying in on AP right now and Jacobs should run all day long against the Bills.

Call me crazy but I might consider playing Kitna over Favre. Chicago's D has been playing well lately and Chicago GB games this time of year are usually grind it out low scoring games. GB may be playing from ahead all game as well which means lots of rushing. Kitna is at home against a marginal KC team with nothing to play for. Not to mention Detroits D is horrible so Detroit may be playing from behind all game and Kitna will be throwing all over the place. I expect a high scoring game here.

I have Kitna and Favre dead-even for this week. Play whoever you want to root for is my advice at QB.

Bears D is horrible, only plays good vs bad qb's. Favre will not turn the ball over like Tavaris Jackson did. I would start Favre unless the weather calls for wins. Favre only lost once in Chicago ever.
