Hamburger over Arsenal? Really? Why?

Henry is out, they are also having miserable problems scoring. They lost to Man City and drew both Middles and Aston Villa (both draws at home). In both games they dominated the play but couldn't score (both were 1-1). Middles and AV each had literally one scoring opportunity and both cashed them. Arsenal didn't play that bad, but they can't find the net right now and that will only be exacerbated with Henry being out. I don't know anything about Hamburg so I am staying away, but that is my .02.

Thanks...yeah, I know Arsenal isn't playing very well, but in reading about Hamberger I thought they might very well be playing worse...they haven't won a game in the Bunde yet and lost recently to a 3rd division German Team, plus one of their best offensive players Rafael van der Vaart is out according to what I've read. Oh well, I've only got 0.25% of my roll on it (action bet) so we'll see. BOL to you.

Also, seems everyone here is on the Hamburgers, so I'm choosing to go contrarian ;-)

Hey guys, my first post on here.

I had a good day on the Champs League yesterday, 2 out 2 singles winning in Valencia and Barca -2, and one parlay of Barca (-1.5), Roma, and Bayern.

Today, I've got 3 straight picks and one parlay carrying on from last nights action.

Arsenal (0) level ball @ 1.847. I know Arsenal have had a poor start to the season, and the loss of Henry seemingly makes their chances of a win worse. However, I don't necessarily believe it. From watching Arsenal's performances it is clear that they have a tendency to overplay, and therefore waste chances. Their previous matches have seen an unbelievable amount of chances spurned due to overplaying or poor finishing. I also attribute this to bad luck. However, a key reason for Arsenal's wastefulness has been Henry himself. He is without doubt one of the best strikers in the world, and their most important player but he and Arsene Wenger have acknowledged that he's only about 60% fit. When Henry plays, the team is built around finding him on the left, and feeding the ball to him. He can't work his magic when he's not in peak condition.

So, Henry being out is going to benefit Arsenal, and hopefully spur on and encourage the younger players of great talent such as Fabregas, Van Persie, Hleb, Rosicky etc. to start playing for each other, and not always looking for their talisman to create the magic.

From what I know of Hamburg, they've struggled so far this season particularly due to the loss of their big defenders Boulahrouz (to Chelsea) and Van Buyten (to Bayern). They've got the young prospect Kompany at centre back, and the experienced Sorin at left back, but they are suffering from poor form, and absentees, so I see believe Arsenal will definitely not lose tonight.

Second bet is Man Utd (-1.5) @ 2.08 odds. Celtic aren't necessarily a walk-over but ever since O'neill left they haven't been able to perform to their same level particularly in European competition. The majority of their defence is injured, and the replacements are inexperienced in the Champions league. Man Utd have been on fire, scoring a large amount of goals, playing fast paced energetic football, and now they have arguably their two best players back from suspension. Rooney is their star attacker, able to score a few wonder goals, but most importantly he's the creative and driving force for United. Paul Scholes is also back, one of teh best midfielders in the world, who will look to control the match through his great passing and vision. I don't see anything other than a United win here, and I expect a few goals, because they have alot to prove after last years dreadful campaign.

Third bet is small stakes on Benfica (0) level ball @ 1.952. They're a team with proven European pedigree, but a bad away record. They are away to newcomers FC Kopenhagen, who have a terrible home record recently. I believe the experience will overcome the newcomers.

Last bet is a parlay following on from yesterday.
Barca (over 2.5)
Bayern
Roma
Man Utd
Milan

odds = 5.13

So if Man Utd and Milan win tonight, the parlay is done!!

Good luck to everyone tonight.:103631605

That Celtic freekick was brilliant. Man U lucky with the penalty, but their second goal was beautiful. Scholes pass was brilliant! Great match... but this is the only match going against my predictions... I even have bloody Sunderland winning, took them on a +0.25... COME ON UNITED, MAKE IT A PERFECT DAY!!!
