I'm wondering if Barca will be going all out today. All it will take is a draw for them to advance to the next round.

LIKE THE OVER AS WELL ... GETTING VALUE ON BARCELONA I THINK THOUGH AFTER WERDER'S HUGE BLOWOUT WIN ... WELL TODAY THEY ARE PLAYING BARCELONA AND WILL NOT SCORE 6!

BARCELONA 2-1 OR 3-1 IMHO:suomi:

Can you really imagine BARCELONA playing for a draw at Camp Nou? NO WAY! They are arguably the best team in Europe and they still need a point to ensure that they will finish 1st in their group. What better way to get that point than to WIN in front of 80,000 home fans against a desperate team with a TERRIBLE defense. Rikjaard has admitted that he will rotate his squad for tonight's match but as far as I can see, only Messi and Xavi will be rested.

Now picture this. Before the match tonight Rikjaard tells Ronaldinho and Eto'o that if they have the opportunity to display their magic and score in front of 80,000 adoring home fans they should just pass the ball off and concentrate on defense so that they are assured of a draw and a point. Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it? That's because it is.

Barcelona will win comfortably by at least a 2 goal margin - you can bet on it. Oh yea, I already did.

"Rikjaard has admitted that he will rotate his squad for tonight's match but as far as I can see, only Messi and Xavi will be rested."

That statement alone tells me that they are not going to go all out. Sure they may win if they get up big early. If things are tied late don't count on them covering the -1.

Is it just me, or does this game today for Juve have 1-0 home team written ALL over it.... seems like +1.5 and +2 for Club Brugge is pretty nice...

Also, gotta like the two home sides in Group D for as much as these games mean. Lille's gotta go all out for a win sooner or later and not concede on games that are 0-0 or 1-0 either way. Maybe Benfica brings the offense out of them.

what i see in the barca match is maybe at some stage a one goal lead for barca and then they will settle down. bremen has to go for points till the end and they will eualize in last 10 min....and cover

AFL you ar right, that's why i like the juve under 2.5,3 even more.

Eh, looking at it (and I don't cap soccer)... gonna take the goals given to me today...

Gimme Thun against Arsenal hoping for at least a draw from the Swiss side

Man U hosting Villareal -0.75 thinking that this one is to save Ferguson's job... and Villareal couldn't score at home against a 10-manned Man U in the first match of this round....

Brugge +1.5 and +2 and under 2.5 and 3, as well as a 1-0 Juve final in the making...

Gotta go with Markie Mark and Barcelona... they've killed folks this whole tournament at home and I think today is no exception... even 2-1 gets my money back

And gimme Rapid Vienna to put on a half way decent performance and... *gasp* score at Bayern Munich... of course, 4-1 doesn't cover for me, but I'll take my chances that they can manage to lose by fewer than 3 goals and maybe get a BS goal late on to cover me.

Now keep in mind I don't bet soccer... Just feeling lucky today and taking what little knowledge I have and have gained from y'all on here to the fullest. Best of luck. I just hope for the slighest of profits...

No Eto'o for Barca. IMO its got to be Bremen or nothing. Barca coming off big win on the weekend at the Bernabeu. Mentally they already have this group wrapped up with only a point necessary I question how motivated they will be. Wouldn't shock me if Bremen won outright. Over and Bremen for me here.

Regarding the Juve match, the coach has said he will adopt attacking tactics.
From the uefa.com website;

"We won't be playing with an attacking trident," he said. "We will play with four - Del Piero, David Trezeguet, Pavel Nedvěd and Mauro Camoranesi. All four have attacking qualities that they will use to maximum effect." The expectation was that Camoranesi and Nedvěd would be given a break after recent international exertions, but Capello is intent on fielding his form players.

I'd rather go for the Over here.

In the Bayern game I also took the Over. Coach says he'll attack early and often and seek a big scoreline to secure top place in the group. Open spaces could create a wild scoreline if Bayern isn't careful.

Also took Over in the Man Utd game, Rooney and Nistelroy gaining momentum and I still don't trust their defense even with Villareal's absences. Naturally the Over 21 1/4 "grand salami" is also tempting. I think we'll see one 5-6 goal game to push it over.

Wow, nobody likes Lille-Benfica UNDER 2.5...it's a juiced up line but, I figure it would add more value to add it w/ another play you like, since I'm a juice drinker I took the Lille Under and brought it down to (-183) w/ Bayern to score at-least one goal.

:drink: Juiceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

RESULTS:

3-2-0 (+0.82 UNITS)

A single goal from Manchester United would have made it a + 10 UNIT day, but, alas, it was not meant to be.

That's how it goes in soccer. One goal either way can make a lot of difference.
