porto is a tough opponent, they might lack the (mainly offensive) talent, but they play total football, covering spaces and each player the other, pressing up high, with lots of running and tackling they 've managed to choke a few great teams along their way to the final. There are other factors favouring them, such as porto's experience (last years uefa) and the team's tradition. Of course with the exception of deco porto lacks the individual talent of monaco players such as rodan (what a great winger), team captain and attacking midfielder (or at times second forward) par excellence julie, and of course morientes whom i ve always considered an exceptional player and who's reeked his revenge hard and good on those over at madrid who questioned his ability and sidetracked his for the overweight genius of ronaldo. But Porto's defence is as hard as they get too.
Like i said, i could go either way, if porto score first they'll retract and i see very little chance for monaco to crack a porto team in full defence, if monaco score first, it will be another story, with porto looking for the goal their defence will be wide open for counter attack and monaco should seal their victory with another goal.
At even money i ll take monaco too.
