Calgary vs. British Columbia

I don't know why, but I like BC to keep this one close in Calgary. Yah, I know BC was absolutely embarassed in their own stadium the last time these two hooked up. But a lot has changed since. The Lions can play defence, thanks to the addition of JuJuan Armour. The Lions also have developped a running attack, which bodes well when you are on the road in these types of divisional matchups. Oh yah, did anyone forget that Calgary has a tough time stopping the run? Perhaps this has been masked by the fact that they have played the pass happy Eskies three of the past four weeks. I fully expect BC to pound the ball on the ground a lot on first down. Now, of course, Calgary is a very good team. They have a passing attack that is sure to put up some points. However, they recently lose WR Thellwell, and the new WRs they have recently aquired are likely still trying to find their way in the new system.

New York Jets vs. Tenessee

This is a desperate Titans team that will roll into New York on Sunday. They played the Steelers very well in week 1, probably deserving of a better fate. In week 2 they were picked apart by Matt Schaub exposing an early weakness... pass defence. However, the Jets have a rookie QB at the helm. A rookie QB who despite his success was unable to throw for much yardage against a vulnerable Pats defence. This is definitely the weakest pass attack the Titans have faced so far, which helps when you are giving up a ton of yardage in the air. However, on the ground, the Titans have been more than solid. If they can move the ball half as good as they did last week, I expect them to roll in this game.

St. Louis vs. Green Bay

9-7 doesn't mean the Rams are getting better... it means the Redskins are that bad. They couldn't finish the Rams off in the red zone, meanwhile going for 4th down twice when they had a chance to put the Rams in a huge hole late in the game. The Rams are not functioning properly in any aspect of the game. The WRs simply are not good enough to give Bulger any value as a QB this season. Jackson is doing his part, but unfortunately he will need to really turn it up to give this team any hope. Sure, Green Bay gave up a ton of yardage to Benson last week, but they also stacked up Matt Forte in Week 1. It's too early to say that they are weak against the run. Either way, they were taken aback by an underrated Bengals defence last week. I don't expect that to be the case this week, as they know they need this game to stay competitive in the tough NFC North.

Tampa Bay vs. New York Giants

One of the best road teams over the past little while plays one of the worst teams this season. I won't go much further. Tampa has been getting the ball run down the throat so far this season, and I expect it to continue at home.

The Plays
2 Team (6 pt): British Columbia (+14) & Green Bay (-0.5)
