This thread is probably stupid to some but it gives me a better understanding of the posters I talked to on a regular basis. Mack liking college basketball because he played in college. RT liking soccer...never knew since I don't go into the soccer forum. GS and Al liking golf as their number two. Coach on college football by a mile. The lack of NBA fans here at the CFB forum kind of surprised me.

3) Anything Nebraska Athletics or Creighton Basketball
4) NFL...though I can only watch it if we have a lot of money riding on it...just lost my stomach for it I guess.

I am surprised that there are not more golf lovers. Most of my friends that follow football are golfers....and many suck, but still love to play. I dont know the ages of folks here, but I am 32, married with two young boys. I coach little league baseball and football for my oldest (which is 5), so golf is the only thing I can be somewhat competitive at. My game isn't near as sharp as it was before kids, but wouldn't trade it. Just wished that I could get my handicap back in single digits. Took my 5-year old out on the course a few weeks back and he chipped a 20 yard shot in. It was more a full swing for him, but it was awesome to say the least.
Watching a Sunday round where the leader board is stacked 10-15 deep all bunched together is some of the best sports action on TV.....IMO.
i suppose the golf is more of a regional sport which we get 9 good months to chase the white ball around here in the south.
dont understand all the NFL hate on this board either. It is tough to bet on, but it is still enjoyable for me to watch. The wildcard and divisional round is two of the best weekends of the year......outside of every Saturday in the fall

I love golf...played regularly since college. I have played some of the best courses in the country due to my work. I always had one problem...I just never was any good. Loved the game and especially with good friends but knew early I wasn't going to challenge Jack.
Some of the best times I have ever had with old friends is on the golf course....some are no longer with us but the memories live on.

Clover, been checking in from time to time but have been busy as hell lately. So busy that I have not watched more than an hour of March Madness thus far, which is killing me because it appears that I am missing one hell of a tourney. As for lacrosse, yes I played. Now that I am on the other side of 40, I live vicariously through my boys, who are both playing on a club team (different age groups.) It is a lot like hockey in that there is non-stop action, plenty of contact (one of our mid-fielders knocked a kid unconscious last Monday night), and entertaining as hell once you figure it out. Believe it or not, it is the fastest growing sport in the country. ESPN is now televising the top NCAA games each week. Best way to get introduced is to go to a live game, I am sure club teams are popping up around all around you and you just don't know it yet.

3. Hockey (attend the occasional Phoenix Coyotes game. Watch the playoffs)
4. Boxing (was on the club boxing team in college. Order all Mayweather fights)
