I have some old baseball cards that are in good shape and have some value. Is it worth getting them graded? If so how dies the process work? Prices? Reputable company?

pain in the ass .. long process.. cards will grade usually lower than what you think/expect .. 15.00 per card if no hurry is an approximate cost

psa a tick looser grading .. Beckett a tick more tough grader .. the other one I always forget there name is the go tp for vintage and they were
more cost affordable but they are releasing new pricing in march that will problem be about 20.00 per card.. they went way up in pricing

PSA is the best company and they just increased their pricing. Count on waiting 9+ months to get your cards back at their cheapest levels. A brand new player in the game is HGA, much quicker return times and $20 per card at their cheapest levels. You can find plenty of videos on youtube about HGA Grading.

PSA or Beckett are the top two. As metro stated Beckett a tad tougher to get the grade. PSA generally better for older cards pre-80's. Waiting time is ridiculous now, and the price went up. Just take a look at ebay, sold cards and current bids to get an estimation whether it's worth it for you to have your cards graded.

Unless you pay the premium, you are waiting a very long time for grading. It will take forever. Still waiting on a Gretzky rookie that was sent in around May 2020
