Hey guys. I have a dodge which I've had couple of problems. I'm wondering if its worth fixing or just throwing it out now. I've had starter problems for awhile now (Fixed it by getting new starter) but now its different problem.
Car starts fine. Everything is normal, but the change gear thingy just moves up/down. It won't change gears. It's automatic. Can't get the car to move. Steering works fine, and everything else seems to be in order.
So does this mean the transmission is dead? I have a good mechanic who will fix it, but he is half away across the town. Is there anyway I can get this thing to him without spending $100 just to tow it? If the transmission needs to be rebuild, am throwing it away. If its something simple like fluid, or something like that, I'm willing to fix that.
What are your thoughts? Big problem or small problem?
