Car Jacking in Heredia(drivers beware)

My house is two stories and the car was parked under my bedroom window. I could have easily shot him through the windshield of the car, but would would have happened if I had shot him dead while he was breaking into my car? What are the rules here about killing someone on your property?

After I opened up down stairs door I noticed he had placed a machete on the floor next to the car while he was inside stealing shit.....

last monday my mom's neighbor killed a burglar at 2am, the poor bastard fell on my moms front yard..... They live in heredia, near the Auto mercado

First the neighbor said that the other guy killed him by mistake, then he admitted it was him, the guy doesn't have a license or anything......the cops and DA told him not to worry, that they will do everything for him to not have any problems:aktion033

I wont stop complaining because when/if CR turns into Honduras/Guatemala then someone else is going to tell me that its safer than Haiti or Sierra Leone. In CR if someone is on your property you can shoot & kill! I have a crackhead that lives near me that has been harassing me for a while. He says he wants to rape my wife and burn down my house. I have talked to his mother, brothers and cousins and tried to make peace with him, but he aint having it! His own family wants him gone. This guy is the #1 suspect for a murder that happened here 2 years ago, and has been interrogated by OIJ, but they say they don't have enough evidence to prosecute. I went to the local police and asked them what I should do.
They told me to buy a gun, sit by my window, and the next time I see him ride his bike past my house, shoot him and drag his body onto my property, and then to call them (the police) and they will come thank me and take his body away! As long as he is on my property when the police arrive, I should be fine! Thats their advice!

i'm no violence lover or anything but things are getting pretty fucked up here, hate to admit our beautiful country is becoming more and more dangerous everyday because of this hijueputas...
hater? brock? you actually shoot this fuckers and kill them, just a few tips given to my dad and i by an actual OIJ guy (he has killed a couple motherfuckers already).
he said get a gun, do not register it; when the crackhead breaks in shoot the MF (in the front, not the back), call the cops and make sure the body is inside the house; when the copper come tell them the guy pulled out the gun you tokk it from him and shoot him (they'll know it's BS, but how can they prove it?)

wear long sleeves because there is always gun powder residue left on the skin so wear that shit and burn it...my cousin is OIJ so I got the tip from him...lol

I always wondered how sensitive the gun powder residue test aka Phosphate test is. I imagine that anything 'in you' has to a degree a small amount of residue. Who knows how they process it/analyze it though. Anyone that has gone to a shooting range knows that you simply 'smell' like it for QUITE a while.

hate to admit it (i'm teasing you) but wolfie's got a point here
a friend's neighbor actually shot a guy in his backyard and we was arrested and charged for murder since it was somehow "not in" his property, he got a fucking good lawyer (good at it, i've never thought lawyers can be any good as people, LOL) and was able to get him out after bail and then he had to come to court, sign every 2 weeks i think or something
still that's what i've been told
never done it myself, i hope i don't have to
anyone with some legal knowlegde (real) that could actually let us know the "right" way here, not that we are creating some sort of squad or somethin' but we'd like to know.
