I see this more as a signal to Washington DC insiders in general, both parties. And I think that is the correrct signal to send. If you keep doing the same things over and over you wind up with the same results. We need to make a massive transition from insiders to fiscally responsible leadership who actually listen to the will of the people. That has been missing for decades.

Sorry got interrupted and did not complete this post. My hope is that the new blood will address the lobbying problems and remove one of the biggest obstacles we have at this time. Lobbying is out of control and has to be constrained.

Good. He was just another washington conformist. All talk and no action.

USA needs real change not empty promises from empty suites for which there are plenty.

Cantor was for Comprehensive Immigration Reform (whatever that means). Obama wants amnesty.

Cantor was willing to compromise. I’m guessing the people in his district took that to mean capitulation. Even if a bill were passed that had everything Conservatives wanted there is still a high probability that the law would not be enforced.

If you are going to pick an issue to hang your hat on you need to be on side that your constituents are on. Obviously Cantors district didn’t like what they saw.

Cantor went from young gun to establishment Rino. That’s why he lost. I’ll bet Ryan and Boehner took notice.

And Marco Rubio who's never held a real job in his life and is already showing signs he's been sucked in by the Washington vortex.

Almost 40% more people turned out vote in VA-07 last night than in 2012:

Historically that’s the way mid terms are for whatever reasons.

I’m sure you were trying to make a point. What was it?

This result is far less meaningful than you guys would like it to be. All it proves is that the Republican party is more divided than ever. Sure, for one day in June the tea party was able to drum up enough anger at "RINOs and Obama" to get Cantor ousted. The problem is, the other 200k+ voters that show up in November aren't members of the Tea Party. They are going to be liberals, moderate democrats, independents and the worst scum of all according to you all, RINOs.

The only thing meaningful is Conservatives in district VA-07 said we’re tired of the establishment and all it stands for.

For them to say no way Hosae to the majority leader in the House is a BFD. It’s never happened before.

I don’t understand why you don’t see the significance.

This the equivalent of Charlie Rangel losing a primary.

What does this have to do with anything?

Amnesty is dead and the RINOs in the House are panicking. That is a HUGE short term victory because it stops the 'progressive' onslaught against America for at least a couple years.

Now what America needs is an anti-establishment tsunami in Nov creating an environment ripe for impeachment.

I didn't say it had no significance. I just said it is less meaningful than a lot of the guys beating their chests around here would have you believe.

In my opinion, being House Majority Leader hurt him more than any voting record. Perhaps I see things differently, but I don't find it all that surprising that the #2 in command of the list least popular congress ever would be voted out.

That is paramount before we can envision any talk of impeachment. We can’t even get any real support for repealing the ACA much less Obama.

You do realize that the Dem's were allowed to participate in that election. Being #2 was not a factor, he was transforming into an insider and was exposed. Many Dem establishment will get unseated also. That CHANGE that Obama promised is going to happen despite him, but this change will be for the better.
