MONTREAL (-5.5) +100 over Toronto (300/300) Pinnacle
Toronto is easily the most OVER-RATED team in the CFL this year. After their Grey Cup win in 2004 everybody expected them to burst out of the gate this season and dominate the East. Well, it isn't happening! At the end of last year the Argos were clicking and it resulted in a great finish to their season but the reality is, apart from a few defensive players, the Argos were playing over their heads and the REAL Argos are what we have seen so far this season. Montreal will dominate Toronto tonight in "cosy confines" of Molson Stadium and the Allouettes will more than make up for their surprise loss to Winnipeg, last week.
CALGARY (+9) -110 over B.C. Lions (220/200) Pinnacle
Henry Burris showed us last week what he is capable of and I think we can expect more of the same in this game. Burris is a good passer when he can control his emotions and a GREAT scrambler when under pressure. The Stampeder offense put on a great show against Saskatchewan and I think they will pick up where they left off against a B.C. Lion team that ALMOST lost to the Ti-Cats last week. Dickenson and the boys were exposed on both sides of the ball in Hamilton and will have to play MUCH better or they could lose this game OUTRIGHT.
HAMILTON (+13.5) -110 over Edmonton (220/200) William Hill
Hamilton running back Troy Davis traditionally takes about 3 or 4 games to get into a rythm with his offensive line and last week against B.C. he found his groove - expect another big game this week from Davis. The Hamilton defense also stepped up and gave Dickenson a very rough ride last week along with some improved play by Danny McManus, who will have to be even better now that Kahari Jones will be on the sidelines waiting for his chance to play. The Ti-Cat receivers were still dropping some balls but this has been a focus for Hamilton all week in practice as they prepare for the Eskimos and I think there will be some improvement. In a nutshell, Hamilton is an improving team and 13.5 points is just WAY TOO MANY.
