IIHF awarded Canada the 2006y Juniors as part of a deal that will see Canada defer the 2007 world men's bid (to please the Euros). Instead Canada will get the 2008 World men's to coincide with the 100th anniv.
The city for the juniors hasn't been selected yet but Vancouver is the lead candidate. The men's in 2008 will be joint hosted by Quebec City / Halifax
