I'm not sure if it hits all of you, but since a week I have seen a change in either my own results as well as some of the other guys on this board that place their bets. Where we first were making nice profits lately we're actually paying back some of our money due to losing our bets.
To me, one of the main reasons for this change is the fact that a lot of leagues are near the end of the season. This means actually a couple of things. Some teams will perform as solid as always, mostly those who battle for the championship. The main changes are to be found in the middle class teams and the lower ranked teams. The middle class teams often have nothing to play for anymore. They are pretty much safe from relegation, but are unable to qualify for for instance European spots in their league. From now on you will see these teams leaking more and more points. At the other side of the league table you will see the struggling teams. They were unable to gain points during the whole season (that's why they are ranked so low), but you will see them winning more and more points by battling hard for a well deserved draw or even a win. Some teams are made for this kind of soccer as they are in this position every year. Others are less used to this and will find more trouble. This can also result in less likely teams to relegate in benefit of a team that was very low in the rankings all season long. I already see these underdogs gaining points now and I'm sure it will happen a lot more from now on.
I would say, from now on, be aware of the dogs and catch 'em where possible.
