You have twenty stacks of ten coins each...

The coins all look, smell, taste the same....

The only difference, is that 19 of the stacks contain 10 coins each that weigh 1 ounce each and 1 stack contains ten coins that each weigh 1.1 ounces...

the question:

you have a digital scale which will shut off after giving you two readings...

so you can only see how much whatever you put on the scale weighs twice...

after your two weighs, you have to identify which of the 20 stacks contains the coins that weigh 1.1 ounce instead of one ounce...

hey bro! unfortunately not this year. I am getting married to the girl that you and your wife met back in the day this September and we are moving back to LA after the wedding (in boston these days) so things are just too crazy for now. I have my hands full since she is studying like crazy for the california bar exam right now...leaving all the rest of our responsibilities to yours truly. I sure hope she passes the first time!

how have you and your family been? are you going to make it to the bash this year?

as for me...things haven't went well...we are getting a divorce after 22 years..I guess we both were not happy and found ourselves just going through the motions.

anyways...I just came back from a 4 day forth of july weekend in SoCal..my aunt lives in Santa Ana and I have cousins that live in OC ....maybe one day when you two newlyweds have settled in we can go out for a couple of drinks.
