of course pitt should be -4 or -5 in OUR eyes. but they needed it to be a pk to get equal action. the books would have had the world betting conn at +5 even if it was the wrong side.
conn is a much more public / highly touted team than pitt even if pitt is the clearly better club with homecourt.
its all about getting equal action on both sides not neccisarily putting up a prediction number.
