California will reportedly close all beaches and state parks beginning Friday after swells of beachgoers fled to the shore last weekend in defiance of social distancing rules.

The state’s governor, Gavin Newsom, will formally announce the decision Thursday, according to a memo outlining the move obtained by FOX 11.

“After well-publicized media coverage of overcrowded beaches this past weekend, in violation of Governor Newson’s shelter in place order, the governor will be announcing tomorrow that beaches and all state parks in California will be closed, effective Friday, May 1,” said the notification, which was sent out to all California police chiefs on Wednesday.

Newsom on Monday blasted the beachgoers, singling out those who flocked to Huntington Beach and Newport Beach in Orange County.

“This virus doesn’t take the weekends off, this virus doesn’t go home because it’s a beautiful sunny day around our coasts,” the governor said.

Photos swirled online last weekend of the coastal crowds who appeared to be flouting the social distancing rules as temperatures soared into the 80s on Friday.

One image shows a group of at least five young women within six feet of each other on Huntington Beach. Others show sunbathers sitting so close, their towels touch.

On the north side of the beach, bikers, dogs and stroller-pushing couples swarmed the boardwalk, according to photos. Many were without masks.

People are blowing against it

The pictures they showed were using zoom lens that distort. The official pictures from H.B. and Newport show a completely different picture. I thought the deal was to flatten the curve. We have 40 million people in our state, 46600 positive cases and less then 3000 deaths Do the math. But we can all got to Home Depot (booming with business) Costco wait in line with hundreds of other people. Go to the store but open air is bad for you. It's because O.C. is more conservative and the board of supervisors there voted to start opening up businesses. The Gov didn't like that”

The strongest economy in history was destroyed because of a virus with a 98% rate of recovery”

“
Newport Beach showed the ACTUAL picture, not the one MSM is showing and it shows social distancing, etc. Check it out in their website. I am so done with Fake News”

“
This state sucks. We can't get them voted out because the people who benefit from all the freebies outnumber the reasonable people. Him expecting people to listen to the rules is ludicrous considering they (liberal democrats) have spent decades telling CA residents that the rules don't matter. It goes for everything from lawlessness on the highways to allowing people to squat illegally in other people's homes”

“
Winds blow heavy near the beach; not so much in Botox clinics in Beverly Hills which are slated to reopen”

“
Time to open up! Most people fine with this virus. If you want to stay in your house, fine. If you dont want to open your business, fine. But government should not be telling people to stay home or not to open their business.”

“There are people that rightfully so feel Newsom has gone beyond the scope of his authority and has taken on power that is not outlined in the Constitution,” he said. Newsom, Pelosi's nephew, a classic example of a "tin pot despot", hungry and clawing for power. Wake up, Californicans! With this would-be dictator at the helm, the "People's Republic of California" is close at hand.”

“
Governor Newsome please, close the borders to stop the spread also.”

“
California is a Sanctuary City that welcome foreigners who didn't follow America's laws. And at the same time demand that Legal Americans must follow the law,”

Since Newsom can ignore federal law, I'm going to suggest local officials can ignore Newsom

Everyone should storm the beaches in Cali......this governor says Cali is a sanctuary state, & defies federal law, so the public & local officials can do the same to him.

It's interesting that Newsome wants beaches closed but is ready to open schools. I guess the poor children might begin to regress if their indoctrination gets curtailed.

Trump has has removed the masks from all of them. They are all completely visible now. A scary sight for anyone who loves this country and the blessing of capitalism.
