that Price kind of tells you something....

this might be true...will be interesting to see.. For sure if anyone is betting C Chrome then they should bet that future and NOT the race itself with a horse-bet.

you all have good comments on the race and in this sport i respect almost everyone's opinion, but i just want to see a triple crown winner already,...the last i had a feeling for this to happen was, smarty jones and i was let down,..i hope it don't happen again,...but good luck to all of you on your wagers

Tonalist is the ringer here IMO
You were right Gravy. These trainers are very good at placing ringers in this race. And half of them don't even look that great on paper. But it's all about placement and timing...

Bittersweet for me as well...

Bet on 2 horses, Chrome, and Tonalist at 10/1. Made out like a champ, but.....Nice to see Tonalist's jockey say it was a bittersweet victory.

I agree with the owner of Cali Chrome's. ALL or none..."It's a cowards way out not to run all of them..."

I agree with him on 20 in the Ky Derby, and only 9-12 in the Preakness and Belmont. it's BS.

You can't Run 20 Horses in the Preakness ... The guy is a Cry baby !
If he would have won, you think he would have Cried ??

Do it before the race, Not after

He's not a cry baby. He's the owner of a REAL DEAL horse, win or lose. Today just wasn't the day. He still became a multi-millionaire off a $10k investment. Beat that...

He's a man that speaks his mind and I like it!

My Belmont Stakes selections:

1st-11-Tonalist
2nd-8-Commissioner
3rd-2-California Chrome
4th-4-Commanding Curve

Wow!!! Good hit. Hope you bet it big. I had Commissioner across the board and exacta and tris. Super bummed he couldn't hold on for first. That would have been a big hit for me.

Not taking anything away from the Horse. But the owner showed me something.
Agree it just wasn't his day. But don't blame the way the Triple Crown is raced. 147 years it has been done this way.
If it was easy, there wouldn't only be 11 Triple Crown Winners !

Each Owner when theese horses are Babies ( Yearlings ) those owners have to Put Up MONEY to stake them. Wayyyyy before they even know they can Race.
If your horse isn't ready, or an injury, they can Skip that Race. Some never Make it to Any of them. But they paid.

This guy showed NO CLASS as a T-Bred Owner.

I'm sure he is Pissed that his horse Lost. But you Don't make a statement like that. Sore Loser

Say what you want, I'll be looking to purchase a horse from him in the near future. Just became my favorite owner. Thanks!

I was really pulling for California Chrome, although I had my doubts he could do it. It would have been one hell of a story if he had won. Two guys pick up a colt for $10,000 when no one else wanted it. And he had no real pedigree. What a great story! It would have almost been like a mutt winning the Westminister Dog Show. But it would have also made those high dollar Kentucky breeders look bad. So yes, I think there was a minor conspiracy too keep CC from winning. The old inside "box in" job did it...

Oh, and BTW, the format for the Triple Crown hasn't ALWAYS been the same. Try again...

You better go with his Partner, because this guy did NOT pick the Mare or Sire to get him. He knows Nothing about the Sport. He's a P.R guy
