These teams have split the season series, with the Canucks winning a 4-3 shootout in December while the Flames returned the favor with a 3-2 victory two weeks later. Both of those games were held in Calgary but the venue has shifted and Vancouver has been playing its best hockey of what has been an otherwise underwhelming season.
The Canucks have won 10 of their last 13 games and Tuesday night’s 6-5 loss was only the second time during that span in which Vancouver allowed more than three goals in a game. Prior to that, the Canucks defense had stiffened as evidenced by their 2.08 goals allowed per game average over the previous 12 contests.
The oddsmakers are giving us plenty of value on the home team and we’re here for all of it.
