Cable modem outdated?

The problem is my service keeps getting disrupted. It has happened 3 times in the last 24 hours. I only have to reset the modem but it's a pain in arse. The cable CS tells me I have an old modem and it might be crapping out. They also said the newer modems are faster, stronger, and blah blah blah. Apparently mine is a 1.0 version and the latest is 1.1. Modem is made by Motorola; I purchased it just over two years ago.

Is my modem outdated or is the cable CS full of shyte as usual. Has anyone updated their modem and noticed a difference?

mine is a motorola....like 5 or 6 years old...my service goes out sometimes also...had the cable over to check the signal and he told me it could be the modem

Replace that modem.
