Spanish newspaper AS has claimed that the Glazer family are resigned to the prospect of losing Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid this summer.
No firm negotiations have yet begun between the two clubs, but United's American owners and chief executive David Gill are already planning for life after Ronaldo's exit, according to AS.
CRISTIANO RONALDO
The Madrid-based paper claims that a fee of around £60m would be enough to convince United to part with their Portuguese superstar.
For his part, all Ronaldo would say about his future after meeting with Old Trafford medical staff yesterday was: "I will spend the period of my recovery in my house in Sintra, but regarding my future I cannot say anything."
