I will give you some respect though. You put alot of time into this and consistantly win 3-6 units a week. Thats pretty damn impressive. From a guy who does this strictly for fun Im happy to be approaching a +50 unit in college and NFL. I have offered you twice to have a contest where I cant "not pay." I would think a pro like you would jump at that.%^_

It depends on how you bet.

Person A could bet 1 or 2 units on all their plays with the occasional 3 or 5 unit play, and end up the year and impressive +30 or +50 or +100.

Person B could bet 5 units per game, and end up +20 ( really only 4 bets above break even).

Heck, I see people posting 50 unit plays. 50 units... really? You are going to bet 50 units? Are we talking a dollar a unit or something?

I'd much rather bet 1-2 units per week on units that count and finish up 3-6 units constantly ( I believe two years ago I won money 15 out of 17 regular season weeks and this year I haven't lost many weeks either) but that is much better than betting 5 units per game and finishing down 10 units one week, down 5 units the next week and then hitting 12 units the next week.

I mean what if somebody like me were to add a 0 to the unit total of all my bets making every play a 10 unit play or 20 unit play. It is really just semantic games. If you are always really betting 5 units then when you bet 2 units you are really betting 40% of your normal bet or .4 units.

Being up 30 units is a lot more impressive if you are betting 1-2 units than if you were betting 5 units per game or the guy who wins one 30 unit bet.

You have to look at the context of bet size to total won. You can't just say that you won 50 units, because somebody can go 1-0 betting a 100 unit wager and be ahead of everybody.


I am no pro better but 2 people have offered you the action on your bet and you declined. If you were so sure that you would beat me ( or even finish the month profitable) then you would take it.

It's alright, the bashers come and go. They start running their mouths when they win a little bit of money, but start chasing after they lose with math and compounding working against them.

It might not happen for a year or a few years, but they will chase their losses and get wiped out.

I was using the 50 unit bet as an example of other people. Your typical bets are what 2.5 units? Pretty much every week you have 3, 4 and 5 unit bets.

If you almost broke even in your last 6 weeks of betting that isn't nearly as impressive as somebody pumping out 3-6 units per week on 1-2 unit bets.
