WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush poked fun at his staff, his Democratic challenger and himself Wednesday night at a black-tie dinner where he hobnobbed with the news media.

Bush put on a slide show, calling it the "White House Election-Year Album" at the Radio and Television Correspondents' Association 60th annual dinner, showing himself and his staff in some decidedly unflattering poses.

There was Bush looking under furniture in a fruitless, frustrating search. "Those weapons of mass destruction have got to be somewhere," he said.

------------------------------------------------

Ok, so now he's making jokes about his patently false pretext for invading Iraq while human beings formerly known as living and breathing have paid for it with their lives. Is there really not one person in the entire population of 290 million Americans with the nerve to put a bullet through this stupid ****'s face?

Ha, ha! That's a funny joke i just made about killing another human being! I'm just like George W. Bush!

No need for the stupid p. description. Thank you.

The weapons of mass destruction DO have to be somewhere. You shouldn't continue to make statements or conclude, so shortly after the search has began, that Saddam never had any; that is a flat out lie. It may take a decade before we finely find out where the WMD are. We will be in Iraq for many more years in some way, fashion or form. So, ..... don't get your hopes up.

Even David Kay thinks they were never there (not in recent years, anyway.) Still, whether Bush truly believes they will be found one day or not, the joke was in poor taste.

I don't think the Iraqi citizens mind to much, now that they have been liberated. Just the libs find something like that offensive, I guess. Anyone but Bush!!!

Most likely I will vote for Bush in 2004, but one important issue that I do not agree with Mr. President is this non-existent WMD problem in Iraq.

Silly fuking us - all you "Christians" decided God didn't mean that part about "thou shalt not kill" and forget to give us "liberals" (apparently now redneck slang for non-Bush support) the memo.

Silly me.

I actually think he did nothing intentionally malicious by it but he has such a low IQ, he couldn't comprehend that it would offend anyone.

lander,

"thou shalt not kill"

properly translated it is "thou shalt not murder" - a bit of a difference.

Perhaps, but not in Bush's 10,000+ cases on murder.

I thought it was kinda funny myself when I saw it last night. I couldnot stop laughing for at least thirty minutes. The funniest thing I have ever seen.

You dips gotta lighten up and realize Iraq is better off and America is much much safer now.

You find it ammusing that over 10,000 people have died, and tens of thousands of others have been injured because of Bush's false assertions of "stockpiles of WMDs" as a pretext for war. Meanwhile, despite Saddam being an evil SOB, thousand more people have died "under" (not that the pansy-ass coward ever fought) Bush than they would have under Saddam. And to top the big shit-cake off Iraq is on the verge of a Civil War - will those deaths ammuse you too?

Would you laugh if your son died as a direct result of this pretext?

JP, war isn't a PSII game. It isn't entertainment. It isn't reality TV. It's hell on Earth being conducted at the will of satanic men.

Thousands more have not died, Lander.

Since the Gulf War ALONE, it is estimated that over 20,000 Iraqis were killed in JUST the southern region of the country, by Saddam's regime.

Throw the Kurds in on top of that, and its a pretty big number.

"Since the gulf war alone?"

What are you talking about?

Let me get this straight. You're comparing the death rates by taking 10 years of rule "Saddam" vs. 1 year of "Dumbya"?

No, I am saying that attempting to judge how many Iraqis would have died under a continuing psychotic and oppressive Hussein regime is certainly beyond your scope, and we certainly know he has killed many many more of his own people than have died in the last year.

Using your logic, George Washington would have been lynched before ever becoming president, due to the thousands that died attempting to form a free country.

Under my logic? George Washington?

Are you stating that a revolution and an occupation are synonymous?

The mission was called Operation Iraqi Freedom and not Operation Find the Weapons or Operation get the Oil.

Bush should actually admit defeat, put Saddam back in power and get out of the mideast. That is the only foreign policy people on the left would enjoy. By getting out of the mideast would also stop the terrorists from hating us.
No?

Even if David Kay had come back and said that WMDs would be found soon enough, the joke is still in bad taste. Jokes over war aren't funny no matter what you think of the pretext's validity.
