Gallup had Bush ahead 52-39 a week before the election.

Bush hasn't polled above 48 in many of the swing states for awhile. That is big trouble. He was greatly benefiitted by OBL's tape though, but what else is new. OBL is the best thing that ever happened to Bush, and Giuliani. The rest of the world has suffered because of OBL, while Bush and Giuliani have benefitted.

D2Bets,

I totally agree with you. The fact that Bush hadnt reached 50% in many swing states is huge because the undecided's normally go to the challenger by a 2-1 ratio...

Bin Ladin is trying to INULFUENCE this election towards BUSH, and although the early signs are that it is working, when Americans have more time to digest this latest development, there's no telliing which way they will vote because of it or whether it will change their minds...

Noreaga, with you on some of the liberal issues I'm sure. I'm definitely not all that conservative by any stretch of the imagination. And, yes, I consider myself very fortunate to earn well. I do think the Democrats could have put forth a better candidate though. Even the Dem's here in Texas don't like Kerry's demeanor and especially that of his silly wife, Heinz-Kerry. Texas women just find her arrogant and very unapproachable when compared to the current first lady and her very southern demeanor.

Just one day before the first debate I made a small wager on Kerry at +175. (Haven't checked the current odds but I doubt it's now more than +120. Some enterprising soul should check 10 books that are booking the election and report the current odds.)

I made the bet because (1)I thought Kerry was the better speaker, and would get a poll boost from the debate; and (2)since the advent of TV campaigning (ca 1956)the CANDIDATE WITH THE TOOTHIER SMILE ALWAYS WINS. (Check Eisenhower vs Stevenson, Kennedy against Nixon - but definitely Nixon vs the funereal McGovern, etc).

Also, I felt that the Iraq was the most irresponible action any U.S. president ever took - basically at the behest of another country whose de facto agents are running the Pentagon. But that's another story.

Both these guys are professional liars, but I'm hoping my liar wins!

I agree. They both suck. It's a lesser of two evils right now. Big corporations run the country whoever you vote for.

The Mrs. and I are sickened and disgusted with the ignorance of the stupid white men [and women] we are surrouded by at both of our residences.

She, on the internet, has found a cute, nice looking 4 bedroom home for $75K USD on the ocean in Nova Scotia. I have been researching Canada quite a bit lately. If we sell our Appalachian mountain home we can buy the Maritime house cash while keeping our Florida home. And I think we can do better than $750 a month on medical insurance for only ONE of us. Should have gone up there back in '68. A friend that did never bothered coming back and has lived a good life up there.

We cannot in good conscience rally behind a murdering liar and his bastion of corporate criminal lackeys and lobbyists. Scalped out again BTW, and it cost me a couple of dollars but who cares. We got a young couple living in a rented trailer down the street driving a jeep with 350K miles on it and the guy seems to work day labor but he's voting for Bush cause like he says "neither one of us is pussies." Maybe not, but you're both idiots.:WTF:

Surprise me on Tuesday America. You owe me one from 35 years ago. Hell I always loved hockey anyway and the Mrs. thinks Brad Richards is a hottie. I can't find my Jack Daniels avatar and my bottle has been taken away from me. Damn it I'm a loose cannon today.!!:shoot3:

These people voting for Bush are mostly, well no other way to put it than pu**ies. I ask this all the time if you go into New York or LA are you more afraid of terrorists or the potential thug that might rob you? Also note the areas most affected by terrorists like NYC area and Cali, places with real targets don't buy Bush's "security" pitch. Places people talk about security being paramount live in places like Nebraska or Utah. What are the chances terrorist ruin their lives??? How messed up is that logic?

Bill,
In fairness to Nebraska and Utah, I think their rampant imbreeding has effected their ability to think much more so than Rove's fear-mong3ring propaganda.
