Heckert took blame for striking out on acquiring another capable back after Montario Hardesty's ACL tear, although in his defense he did sort of try with Mike Bell. The Browns never thought much of Jerome Harrison. Hillis wound up with 270 carries, and in his career before then he had a total of 81. He averaged 4.78 YPC in the first eight games, but just 3.82 in the final eight.
