If he runs the ball on the first drive from the 2 yd line on first and goal instead of some stupid swing pass that loses yards there is no play where Charles fumbles.
If he runs the ball when they are up 14-7 heading into the half there is no pick.
If he just kneels to end the game with 30 seconds left there is no fumble.
If he lets Manning just run his normal no huddle shotgun offense.
If he stopped trying to run the ball like the first drive and let Manning pass from shotgun like the last drive.
If he switched his scheme entirely so his QB didn't have constant pressure.
The list goes on an on. Almost every game in football has a mix of fumbles, INT's, bad play or time-out calls or bad officiating. People are always making excuses for losing and you're no different. Kansas City always finds a way to lose versus Denver and that's the bottom line. It's not bad luck that Jamal Charles fumbled the football multiple times, it's that Denver is playing like arguably the best defense in the league right now and is causing those turnovers. Statistics do not lie and Manning hasn't lost a game against the Chiefs since he was traded to the Broncos in 2012 (7-0). It's never been a good match-up for them. You were lucky enough that he wasn't throwing from the shotgun in a no huddle all night or this game wouldn't have even been close. Peyton looked as bad as he was because he's in an entirely different offensive scheme that doesn't work for him. On the flip side, Alex Smith is not and has never been in Manning's league as a QB and I'm pretty sure you saw that Smith was no superstar last night. I would also rather have Denver's defense AND corners playing for my team as well as their QB.
As the previous guy said, even if DENVER'S defense didn't cause multiple Jamal Charles fumbles, you were never slated to cover that game anyways after they tied it up. The chiefs had a non-factor Peyton Manning for almost 2 quarters of football in a scheme that doesn't work (same with Texans) and a 14 point lead. Alex Smith and the Chiefs couldn't even seal the game at home (they never do against the Broncos). The Chiefs made mistakes, a lot of them, and that's what loses football games. Deal with it or don't bet the NFL.
