I recently had the honor of visiting with a battalion of young Marines out of 29 Palms, the same battalion that I served w/ during my 2nd tour in Vietnam. They are deploying in August for their 2nd tour of duty in Iraq, this time on the Syrian border. You can only have one attitude when faced with a life threatening situation and that is to follow your leaders to implement the training that you have received. Their blind faith didn't surprise me. It was the same 36 years ago. Their battalion commander, a 39 year old Lt. Col. from Brooklyn said that they will simply kill anyone who tries to injure them. Their's is not to question why. God bless these brave men. Something cyber-chickenhawks will never be able to relate to.

Semper Fi,

Lt. Dan
