Yeah sports definitely has poker beat with special interests.

Entertainment landscape has gotten far more competitive last few years. Networks need people with skin in the game more now.

This is for all you NY people trying to squeeze one last slate in tonight before you have to go back to trading cattle futures or options to get a sweat...

I don't like going Porzingis but was kinda forced onto him. Hopefully if they get waxed he still gets good minutes/usage late.

I see Bayless/Johnson/Neal all having good matchups and workloads though so easy night to go stars/scrubs. All of these guys somewhat suck to varying degrees so who knows.

I'll give you a bet if you want. Cut out the middle man.

These 2 companies are not making any friends ever since this all started.

I just don't get it.

Play along & play nice & you can eventually be up & running in most places and still make your millions or more.

May be too late though with all of their sarcasm towards states & politicians...

Yeah nobody really cares if people can't play DFS or bet on sports. It isn't a big job or revenue creator either.

Look at poker after black friday. It got banned, there was some grumbling about how it is BS but it mostly just went away.

Guessing this is sarcasm

Because we all know that it's a HUGE Money maker

I mean revenue creator for states through taxation.

It really isn't compared to casino based gambling. Doesn't create jobs so it doesn't create a new tax base.

Poker samething....This stuff might seem big but it is nothing compared to slots, table games, lotto, scratch in terms of the revenue it can create. If it was, it would've likely been legal by now.

Sports betting is about 1% of the revenue for all vegas based gaming. So when the argument of legalization comes up, don't really have the argument "It creates jobs!" which usually helps gambling legalization.

I would say most never heard of Draft Kings or Fan Duel until they slammed the air waves with commercial after commercial. I was one of the first on here to complain how crazy it was with the amount they had going on every sporting event.

I have nothing against these companies or the people that play there, but...... they kind of deserved this. They pounded, barraged and stuffed their sites down our throats ad nausea and got attention. Just not the attention they wanted.

Yahoo has DFS, yet you've never seen an ad on TV from them. I believe they are #3 or #4 in total market. They may not have these big guarantees or ad bombed anyone but to be #4 already, they are doing something right and should see some come of lift from this fallout.

Use code fuck off and get an extra 20% up to $200 when you open your account. LOL That's code fuck off.

Yeah it would make a lot of money but I think a lot of states just figure keep the current charade going as long as they can. If your CT and you get 25Ms a month from the slots, probably rather just have that.

Then there is the social cost issue. Now I'm for all forms of gambling being legal but I must concede, if everyone could bet sports with their smartphone instantly, not sure that would be the best development for society. Think a lot of states just would rather not bother with that.

Obviously the leagues will want it more and more. This isn't 30 years ago when people had like 5 good channels, no internet, no netflix. They need people engaged in the games for reasoning beyond "I love Tom Brady and the Patriots!" They just don't have the entertainment monopoly they used to.

For all those NY people trying to enjoy 1 last night of DFS before the ban and figured play Kevin Durant returning home to Washington....

Injured 2nd quarter and didn't return.....Adding injury to insult.

Drop in the bucket to either

Right now? Probably yeah.

That is what I tend to think.

NBA/MLB probably care a lot more than NFL does since they have so many regular season games that nobody would care about if they didn't have a sweat on them.
