AP: Fox News has just filed a petition with the FCC, to change its name to Fiction News Network (FNN). Cable companies and sponsors were placed on notice by Fox News on February 17 of the name change. According to CEO Roger Ailes, on the advice of legal counsel, in light of the potential billion dollar judgment against the company, and to eliminate further legal exposure, the name change would be appropriate. Roger Ailes stated at a press conference today, “People already know Fox News does not report news factually. Look at the ongoing Dominion litigation. Our three main stars have been proven to be liars, peddling falsehoods they know to be lies, to our viewers and fans. Our viewers don’t give a F*ck. Look at our ratings. High as ever. We lie to our viewers faces and they are grateful to us. They don't want to hear the truth. They want to hear lies. By changing our name, we get the best of both worlds. Continued high ratings, high profits, and we’ve eliminated our legal exposure going forward.”
