Although we were initially hesitant to rank Lloyd among the top-20 fantasy receivers this year due to the Pats' plethora of passing-game options, Rotoworld now has visions of a Randy Moss-like impact down the field. Lloyd may struggle to bypass 65-70 receptions, but double-digit scores and 1,000+ yards are reasonable expectations.

Josh McDaniels was the head coach of that team and he's the offensive coordinator for the Patriots now. Lloyd has predictably had no trouble fitting in with the Pats and is an absolute steal at his current fifth-round ADP.

Lloyd isn't going to match Randy Moss' record-breaking 23 touchdowns from the magical 2007 season, but he's going to play an eerily similar role. We wouldn't be surprised in the least if Brady exceeds his own record-breaking numbers from 2007.

Per ESPN Boston, Lloyd has been a "dynamic perimeter receiver" and "could be a massive part" of the passing game this season. We'd expect nothing less with Josh McDaniels calling the plays. The last time Lloyd and McDaniels were together for a full season (Denver, 2010), he racked up a career-high 1,448 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns with Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow as his quarterbacks. Now he's catching passes from Tom Brady.

Beat writers close to the Patriots expect Lloyd to suit up and play, but with Baltimore and New England set to kick off tonight, fantasy owners need to have their ducks in a row in the event that the receiver misses. Keep checking back throughout the day for updates.
