Final Card for Saturday:

3* UGA/OKState under 62
2* Navy Midshipmen +22 -110
2* Alabama/Va Tech under 37 -110
1.5* NC State -4.5 -110 (Loss)

Pending: UM/FSU Play

All plays under 3* for this week as it is early and trying to get a feel for the season. Don't get overexcited on week 1. Wait until you get some data and some trends and some looks at teams before you unload.

Good luck

With you on Navy +22...kinda parallel with what the analysts on ESPN were saying about defending the triple option and it being the only time this season OSU will see it and the fact this game means little to them compared to conference games. I cannot see them putting a lot of stock into preparation fro defending the Trip-Opt with so much left on their plate the remainder of the season. I'm sure they fee they can rely on their offense to "outscore" Navy in this one. I feel this is an over the total game and Navy +22 is a solid pick.

Buckeyes struggled early last year with Ohio I think? This team is starting to get off to slow starts, not caring about beating up on crappy teams because they keep losing the big games that count. Those are the games they look forward to now, to see if they can get that big game monkey off their backs. USC on the horizon next week is their game of the year. This is Navy's game of the year.

Didn't Appy St. nearly knock them off the opener the year before that?

Excellent call with Navy Box, you called it like it was. They hung in there, ran some clock, and made a few key plays.

Good luck this season, I'll be with you all the way!

Went 2-1 on Saturday, and 2-2 so far for the week. Treaded lightly during week 1, +1.15 units this week. Will have an FSU/Miami play up today, not sure when yet.

Random Thoughts:

Oklahoma really shit their pants. You would have to think that a school like Oklahoma would have a decent QB in the pipeline to replace Bradford, and that guy with the Dirty Sanchez mustache couldn't move the ball on the mormons. I think Sam Bradford is wondering why he came back right about now. His Heisman hopes are over, and their national title hopes are dim.

Washington has a good group of coaches in place.

Bama's new QB took awhile to get rolling, but he made some nice throws and moved the ball on a good defense. Mark Ingram is a stud downhill runner.

Georgia's offense is horrible, OK State offense is overrated as expected. UGA could be under city all year long. Vanilla playcalling, no creativity, no playmakers. Granted it was Cox's first game, but wow.

Box great call on Navy .. wish I would have went along for the ride.

I agree with Washington ... they played with their hair on fire last night. For that matter the whole PAC10 did (except Oregon). I think the conference is in for a big year.

Yeah man, Washington looked really good. Granted LSU isn't in one of their big years right now and they traveled 2,500 miles, but that's still a damn good football team and Washington hung right there with them. Pac-10 looks strong overall, especially with it no longer being the USC show.

Speaking of schedules, how about the SEC usually taking hits for soft scheduling with no travel: Bama opens with Va Tech neutral site. LSU goes out to Washington, and Georgia goes out to Oklahoma State. South Cock went up to North Cock State as well.

1* Memphis Tigers +17.5 -110

Small play here. Ole Miss traditionally struggles during the early season and while they return Snead and McCluster, they lose their big boys in the trenches that made this team so tough. 17.5 is a lot of road chalk and Memphis kept this thing close the past few years. Ole Miss is overvalued from bowl victories and high profile victories last season.

Bradford: Torn rotator cuff, out for season. Very smart on his part to come back when he could've been one of the first 5 guys chosen. You can thank Bobby Stoops for that one. Stoops is highly overrated...

Oh give me a break. First of all, Bradford most likely isn't out for the entire season. OU will still have anywhere between an okay and a very good season, and Bradford will still be drafted in the first round, easily.

Secondly, how does Bradford's injury have anything to do with the difference between an objective evaluation of Stoops' coaching ability in respect to the general perception of Stoops' coaching ability?

College football can use more personalities like Bradford, Colt and Tebow who choose to continue despite their projected draft stock.
