Florida will be without starting right tackle Mason Halter in the Citrus Bowl.

The Gators announced Sunday that Halter and backup linebacker Anthony Harrell did not make the trip to Orlando for the New Year's Day game against No. 17 Michigan. Both players are redshirt seniors, so their college careers are over.

Halter, a graduate transfer from Fordham, started each of Florida's 13 games this season. Harrell has played in every game this season, mostly on special teams.

Without Halter, the Gators are expected to start freshman Fred Johnson at right tackle. Johnson made one start this season, against Vanderbilt on Nov. 7.

Saban just sent S Tony Brown home today. probably the most disappointing 5-star recruit in Saban era....

played sparingly on defense but was a special teams starter on kick coverages but has never gotten out of Nick's doghouse after getting arrested a week after he enrolled at Bama

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have sent home safety Max Redfield due to a violation of team rules, head coach Brian Kelly announced Tuesday.
Redfield has recorded 64 tackles for the third most on the team.
Notre Dame will play Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl on New Year's Day. Redfield was expected to be paired with Elijah Shumate to help shut down wide receivers alin Marshall and Braxton Miller.
Notre Dame will also be without cornerback Devin Butler after he broke the fifth metatarsal in his left foot at practice Monday.
