I've got the Cheshire Cat smile on my face right now. The son I should have had is graduating with a business degree from Zona. I can't stand myself right now. That being said, got two more for the list....... Kiel (sp?) starting QB for Cincy not playing, ESPN didn't disclose the infraction. Second best receiver for TX Tech has been suspended, arrest for some damn stupid shit. Keep this thread rolling, money on the line. Again, Happy and Safe Holidays to all here at the RX!!!!!!!

and there goes another SEC QB....

Florida quarterback Will Grier met with coaches last week and will transfer to another school, a source told SI.com Saturday. Bob Redman of Scout.com first reported Grier's transfer.

The sophomore from Davidson, N.C., went 6-0 as Florida's starter, but he was hit with a one-year suspension in October after testing positive for a substance on the NCAA's banned list. Per NCAA transfer rules, Grier must sit out a year at his next school. He already redshirted in 2014, so he would have two years to play beginning with the 2017 season.

Apparently, the tumult in College Stationis not limited strictly to the quarterback position.
According to a report from GigEm247.com, Speedy Noil has been suspended for Texas A&M’s Music City Bowl matchup with Louisville Dec. 30. Not only that, but the wide receiver, per the report, is suspended for the 2016 regular season opener against UCLA.
No reason was given for the suspension, and the school has yet to address any availability issues on Noil’s part.
If the report comes to fruition, it would be the second suspension for Noil this season.

SEC defensive players continue to make the wrong headlines....

Florida Gators defensive end Alex McCalister was dismissed from the football team, according to Robbie Andreu of theGainesville Sun.
Andreu noted McCalister's dismissal is the result of an "unspecified violation of team rules."

McCalister recorded a team-high 6 1/2 sacks

And, he will be a 23 or 24 year old senior. Sometimes added maturity can be helpful to college age jocks; It will be interesting to see where he ends up and how his career plays out.

Add a few more, starting LB and two back-up WR's for Vagina Tech won't be suiting up tomorrow. LB is Deon Clarke, a Senior that had 77 tackles in 11 games. That's about all I could pull up but I'm screen eyed right about now so I'm sure there's more specific stats, e.g. fumbles caused/recovered, etc. Just wanted to throw it into the fire since the game is today. Senior starting linebacker Deon Clarke is among three players suspended byVirginia Tech for Saturday's Camping World Independence Bowl, coach Frank Beamer announced.
Clarke and wide receiver Kevin Asante were suspended for unspecified reasons after the team's first night at the bowl game site in Shreveport, Louisiana, according to The Washington Post. Wide receiver Demitri Knowles didn't travel with the team after being late to practices and meetings.
"To me, all those little things are a sign of this game is important or not important," Beamer said. "That's me."
Beamer is coaching his final game after announcing in November that he would retire at the end of the season.
All three players are seniors who would have been playing in their final game

Hurricanes have been preparing to face the nation’s top passing offense.
But for Miami, defending Washington State’s famed “Air Raid” offense in the Sun Bowl on Saturday afternoon just got tougher with the school announcing early Tuesday it had suspended safety Jamal Carter for violating an undisclosed team rule.
Later in the day, Miami made a second announcement, this one saying that defensive tackle Courtel Jenkins had been ruled academically ineligible and he too, would miss Saturday’s game.

receiver Tyre Brady – suspended for Miami’s games againstGeorgia Tech and Pittsburgh – will also miss Saturday’s game. He did not travel with the Hurricanes to El Paso, though Scott said both he and Carter remain on the Miami roster.
This will be the fourth game this season Brady has missed because of a suspension. The receiver was also sidelined for Miami’s opener against Bethune-Cookman in September.
Brady will finish the season with nine catches for 112 yards. He played in eight games and started three.

Linebacker Tim Kimbrough,Georgia’s third-leading tackler, will miss the TaxSlayer Bowl against Penn State due to a suspension.

Georgia did not disclose the reason for the suspension.
Kimbrough, a junior, has 67 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble in 12 games for Georgia (9-3).

Georgia also announced Monday that backup running back Brendan Douglas will miss the game following wrist surgery.
Douglas is fourth on the team with 140 yards rushing but third, behind only Sony Michel and Keith Marshall, among healthy backs.

Some of these missing players won't have any impact, but which ones will? The Baylor injuries- definitely. Maybe today's VT suspensions too? Ole Miss DL star, probably. Any others that really stand out?

Everett Golson’s brief stint at FSU is officially over.
The graduate transfer quarterback – who started the first seven games of the season before ultimately being replaced by junior Sean Maguire – left the team, coach Jimbo Fisher told media members after Saturday’s practice in Atlanta for the Peach Bowl.
Golson was not at the last practice FSU had open to media in Tallahassee on Dec. 18. Fisher said Golson was not at that practice because his grandmother passed away.
On Saturday, a spokesperson for FSU clarified that Golson would not return to the team because of a “personal issue.”

Jeeeeeeeeeeeezus, I look at those stats and can only think one thing......WTF??? BTW, typo above on my part, should have been "today's" game, not "tomorrow" but I posted at 1:25 am and it's tough to think in those terms the night at any time before game day. I gotta start paying attention to this dearth of info we've hung out there, a lot of it will matter.

i am listing whether they are starters or not ....

obviously Nkemdiche brothers being out on defense is huge since they are vital

if Miami controls the TOP as expected then their defensive missings wont be as big of a deal

Duke's injury to Jeremy Cash is probably biggest new missing player on the board. he is easily their best player and maybe best safety in nation this year

Clarke (VT), Washington (OSU), McCalister (FLA), Kimbrough (UGA) all really important defensive players
