I guess I'll never understand why so many bet without any idea what they are doing. I've always known that most of the time a good defense stops a good offense. What made Seattle an even better play was that 5 times the best NFL Offense played the best NFL Defense and four of those five times the better defense won the game. Since this was widely known, so hard to understand why so very lopsided on Denver. Now, after today, the number one defense has beaten the number one offense five of the six Super Bowls they have played each other.

BR- I'm not sure when I've seen so many things point to one team like this in a SB. The linesmakers drawing Denver money at +1 to open(not a mistake as they so innocently claimed)… Not moving beyond -2.5….. and how the large offshore books dropped to -2 or 1.5 late in the week. Then there is all the Peyton love and the great story of him winning a SB. Seattle should have been -3 or 3.5 if you ask me. Then Seattle's defense was vastly underrated. Sounds crazy, but they are beyond just being the #1 defense- they are special. Manning's lack of mobility and RW's good mobility. And Denver's injuries and secondary issues… I could go on and on, but this was easy money and I never think that way.
I said two weeks ago when the match-up was set that there was NO WAY Denver would beat Seattle.
I feel sure the people who set these lines are a lot smarter and have a lot more experience that me. Prices are sometimes set knowing where the most of the action will end up and being comfortable with that. Why worry about balancing the books when you know the public is set up to fail big time. Perfect situation for the public to get jammed up and pay for their emotional attachment to Denver.
